Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar
Well, brother since SC category students have huge number of seats left vacant because many of the category students fail to qulaify such low marks cut-off.
So from analysis of past year trends, expected marks to get IIT would be anything 20 marks above the qaulifying marks would be safe to getting into.
All the Best.
Hello,
to implement your ideas you have to be a student of Amrita University.
If you are a student and wanted to do some research work and implement your ideas then in which department you have thought go to the respective department faculty and ask them to guide you.
they will properly say you what you have to do.
if you are not a part of that college then you have to do it yourself at your workplace.
Hope it helps!
Dear student,
As per last year cutoff if your rank is below 6000 in jee advanced you have a great chance to get Admission in iit gandhinagar.
i hope it will help you
Hii Meet Sarvaiya,
This is a quite typical question you have asked as the trend and paper pattern of JEE Advanced changes every year.
But coming to your question:
First let me inform you that JEE Advanced rank depends not only on the marks but also depends a lot on the difficulty of the paper. So in my opinion one must observe ranks based on the percentage not marks.
For IIT Gandhinagar (Civil engineering)
in 2018 :
You must have a rank in range of 2320 - 2690. for this rank you can expect a score of 40% to be at the safer zone. which implies that if you score approximate 40% marks in JEE Advanced 2018 then you can get into IIT Gandhinagar Civil, which approximates to 140-150 marks out of 360.
in 2017:
You must have a rank in range of 1680 - 1960. for this rank you can expect a score of 150-160 marks out of 366 to be at the safer zone. which implies that if you score approximate 40% marks in JEE Advanced 2018 then you can get into IIT Gandhinagar Civil.
So, in my view focus on your studies and hope for the best and dont ever check marks for jee advanced because it chnages every year. in an average try to score 40% marks in your exam to meet your said target.
All the best!
Hello Ravi,
Most IITs have 3 preference coloumns (or more) under the specialization you choose. From example, under mechanical, you can choose fluid and thermal mechanics as one preference and accordingly you can fill in the others. You do not need 3 forms for 3 preferences since there is space in one form for it. Since I haven't seen the form myself this year, I cannot tell you exact details but if there is space on a form for multiple preferences then you don't need to fill other forms for your multiple preferences. If a form doesn't have any space for you to insert your multiple choices, then you will need other forms (which is usually not the case with IITs) .
Hope this helps :)

Hello Prateek,
IIT Gandhinagar offers you Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, not in specialisation. The reason behind it is highly interdisciplinary course structure where one can choose from myriad fields and shape their own curriculum.
Coming to the point of placement of M.Tech Mechanical, it depends on many factors listed below
Numbers generally don't give the full picture, it's really an individual choice when it comes to placement.
Currently, the average package for this year is Rs 7.5 lakh.
Hope this information helped you.
All the best.
