IS 80 marks in GATE is sufficient to M.TECH in specialist in Civil Engineering FROM IIT FOR PRESTIGIOUS NIT i am now 2 nd year and also please suggest me the BEST BOOKS FOR GATE CIVIL ENGINEERING
iit kharagpur rf and microwave engineering or iit guwahati communication engineering. which i should opt for mtech? how are the placements
If you are seeking the comparison from the view of placements then IIT Guwahati with M.Tech in Communication engineering will have slight higher edge because placement percentage and average package offered is little higher than that of M.Tech in RF and Microwave engineering. Average package offered in IIT Guwahati for the asked course is around 13 Lakhs for the asked course and average package offered in IIT Kharagpur is around 12 Lakhs for the asked course. So on the parameter of placement IIT Guwahati wins over IIT Kharagpur.
If we see from the point of campus and facilities then Being very old IIT, IIT Kharagpur has quite large campus of around 2100 acres and that of IIT Guwahati is around 705 acres.
Course fee is lesser for IIT Kharagpur than that of IIT Guwahati. You can check out detailed comparison from the link given below :-

hi; my name is Yash and Ive got 50 in physics in class 12. Though i get admission in college in physics. But ; will my future be harmed for M.Sc. to find a good university Or IIT due to this poor marks in 12 physics ??
I hope you are doing good. With reference to your query , I would glad to know you that you have scored a decent marks in 12th . Marks of 12th are only considered at the time of bachelors admission process and if you are doing bsc from bacehlors from private university and willing to get placed then only . In IITS and NITS 12th marks are not given preference at the time of admission in masters. So be chill and dont worry
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
can I get top iit for btech cse with crl placement wise
First of all in placement wise I would like to list down some of the top IITs. They iit Bombay, iit delhi, iit kanpur, iit Madras, iit Kharagpur
Now to get into the top IITs and that also cse branch ,you definitely need to come under 300 rank in jee advanced considering you as a general category student.
i got 76.67 percentile in jeemains 2021 i am belongs to ews would i get seat in iit or nit
With EWS category and such percentile it is quite difficult to get any good college like NITs/IIITs. But you can try for private colleges discussed below or you can appear for state counselling for GFTIs in some states like Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and so on.
Because according to the mentioned percentile your EWS rank is expected to be in the range of 36000-36500 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-
You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-
On such rank you can try for some private colleges like :-
Engineering College, Ajmer
SRM Institute of Science and Technology
Even above have their own entrance exam as well so you can also go for it.
Or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-
You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

which is better lower iit or top nit
Among lower IITs and Top NITs.... Some of the older and more established NITs like those in Surathkal, Trichy, calicut, warangal are far better than some of the new IITs in many aspects.
In terms of human Resources and exposure and lot of many other factors Top NITs are far better than some of new IITs.
So, it's better to choose top NITs than lower IITs.
Hope this information will help you
which college has best placement st.xavier college vs iit bombay for msc physics?
To be honest I don't think St.xavier stand any chances to be compared with iit Bombay even if i consider the programme which is msc physics because iit Bombay is the most premier institute in india. Its placements is far more better than st. Xavier's Bombay. In case of infrastructure st. Xavier's is a better one with good structured buildings. Iit Bombay too has good infrastructure but not better than st.xaviers.

My son is an OCI card holder and has completed his 10th & 12th in India and also we have been residing in India for the past 14 years. Will he be considered under the general category for VIT/SRM/IIT JEE and NIT? What will be the Fees Structure? Can anyone help me ?
As you mentioned your son has done schooling from India and you all have been residing for 14 years . So you need not worry your son is eligible for the general category.
Coming to the fees of the colleges you mentioned-
VIT vellore- It has five categories and accordingly the fees increases. The first category total fees including hostel would be somewhat between 15L . The 2nd category has almost 18-19L.
Srm - It too has same fees as vit vellore 2nd category.
Nits- These are government institutions and if of national importance. It has fees approximately 8L . But it is more less due to fee remission provided by the institutes bases on family income.
Plz explain the reservation of EWS category in iit and nit.
ews stands for economically weaker section, students who does not belongs to any other category, have satisfied the criteria given for ews category are eligible to apply for it. now coming to nits, admission to engineering courses is based on jee main exam, 10% seats are reserve for ews category in nits or institute under central government.
Admission to IITS is based on jee advance score, you need to first qualify in jee main exam, then you would be eligible for jee advance test. however 10% seats are reserve for ews candidates for admission to b.tech courses.
