To be eligible to appear in JEE Mains you must meet its eligibility Criterion.
The eligibility criterion for JEE Main is as Follows
2.9 Eligibility for appearing in JEE (Main) – 2019 2.9.1 Age Limit For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates.
As per the eligibility the candidates passed 10+2 or the equivalent examination in 2017 or 2018 and appearing for 10+2 in 2019 are also eligible to apply for JEE Main Entrance Exam. You can check the furtehr eligibility with the given below link.

Originally you have a maximum of three attempts for JEE Main. You can appear twice for entrance test in a year. So, this if used in correlation with the original number of atempts, from 2019 onwards, JEE Main number of attempts in total will be six. So, relax and
Firstly I would suggest you to go through well with NCERT books as it will help you to clear your concepts then I would suggest you to prefer the other books.
