Advanced has not been scraped,for admission in IITs & ISM Dhanbad, students have to qualify both examinations, i.e. JEE Main and JEE Advanced. It will be conducted twice in a year by NTA.

If you want to crack the IIT then you should 1st focus on basics then implement in it and solve too may questions.

You should focus on periodic table, chemical bonding , p block , f block , basic organic , stiochiometry Atomic str etc

Definitely class 12th syllabus has more weightage!
But you need to look out well for the following topics from class 11th.

Chemistry :

• General Organic chemistry
• Isomerism
• Thermodynamics(Common in Physics) n Equilibrium
• Structure of Atom (Common in Physics with Modern physics)

Maths :

• Conic section n coordinate geometry.

The Joint Entrance Examination(Advanced) is a common admission test for students seeking admission to undergraduate programmes of all IITs and IIT ISM Dhanbad. To be eligible to write JEE (Advanced), the candidates have to first appear in the JEE (Main) conducted by CBSE,in the month of April.

To get into IITs, you need to clear JEE Advance.

After passing JEE Mains, you will have to go for JEE Advance for admission in IITs OR you can apply in NITs,IIITs etc in case you get failed in JEE Advance.
