Diploma hokders are not eligible to appear for Jee Mains and Advanced and hence also not eligible for all NITs and IITs.

Studnets with minimum 75% in class12th from recognised board and from science stream are eligible for IIT under General category.

Which books prefer for jee? Rd sharma is for math but I confused there is 2 types of book available,first 11 and 12 vol,second iit.

Hello.,
Start from basic books like NCERT BOOKS.Then start preparing from RD SHARMA Volume 1 and volume 2 sequence wise as you will learn to solve more easily.You can also refer to Arihant publication books.For Physics and Chemistry i will recommend you to prepare from HC VERMA and OP TONDON.

Right now the expected cutoff for geology in IIT is

General 34.47
OBC (NCL) 33.72
SC/ST/PwD 18.73

These cutoffs are as per the trends, and not final.

there's not a particular score or cutoff which I can tell you, you can qualify mains by scoring even 20-25 marks but that will not assure you a seat in NITs or IITs you have to work hard for it, if you want to get admission in top NITs or
