Assuming asking for IIT JAM seats. There are around 1800 seats for the admission to various post graduate (PG) science programmes including integrated Ph.D, M.Sc, joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc-Ph.D dual degree, M.Sc-M.Tech, M.Sc-M.S (Research), Ph.D dual degree and other post bachelor degree programmes.

You can get admission in an IIT only after completing your 12th standard. It offers B.Tech i.e Engineering.

Since you are still in your 9th standard, I would suggest you just concentrate on your upcoming 9th standard final exams.

Then, prepare and do great in your 10th standard.

Hi Rama, I understand your concern. But you need not to worry as there is nothing official or in the air for IIT. This has really impacted medical students largely and should be changed. I would suggest you to focus on your studies and aspirations and work towards your aim
