Is branch upgradation after 1 year is only in IITs?If also present in other colleges than which one??

Branch change is little easy in same colleges like IIT BHU ,IIT bhuvaneshwar but in college like IIT roorkee,IIT kanpur u will have to secure atleast 9.5 cgpa and branch upgradation is offered in nearly all the colleges

U mat get a good branch in new IITies and branches like GPT, mettalurgy etc in old IIT

You may get a branch in new IIT but still chances are less

I got 108/366 in JEE advanced(General Category). I did not take any coaching. Should I drop a year and prepare for IIT again?

Do you have other options ? If you have some good options then prefer them over drop.
Because you can use this year in future for preparing for other exams .
If you are short of options then you can go for a drop.
