The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed bachelor's degree with Physics and Mathematics as a subject for 2 years or 4 semesters from a recognised board. Candidates belonging to general category/OBC must have scored minimum 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA on 10 point scale and for SC/ST it is minimum 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA on 10 point scale.
If you have studied Physics and Mathematics for at least 2 years or 4 semesters then you are eligible.

Of course you can join IIT for doing M. Tech. To do so you must apply and prepare for gate. This is an entry test administered by old IITs and IISc. Nearly every college in India accepts this score for the MTech programme. The course of studies and cut-offs of various IITs and IISc can be Googled. You have to clear the GATE in the branch you want if you want to join some IIT to follow your M.Tech. After you have passed the GATE test, you will be invited for an interview that depends entirely on the IIT campus since some IITs do not take a private interview. The GATE exam is conducted every year in February,
Hi Aspirant,
Placements are quite good and as per previous records those who have good academic results they get good placements and moreover the highest package is almost above 12 Lakhs per annum.Infrastructure is quite good and the facu;ty members are quite well experienced. However you can get a quality education if you get admitted to this college and moreover if you can maintain your academics well then you could go for this college.
Hope it helps!!
You cannot compare them because both JEE and CAT have different out reaches. JEE Mains is the entrance examination for admission to Engineering courses. It is the entrance exam to study BE/B.Tech/B.Arch in Private Engineering Colleges, State run Government Engineering Colleges including IIITS, CFTIs and NITs. It is also the gateway for admission to IITs for which entrance examination is JEE Advanced. To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate criteria. But if you want to join NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% only in your 12th. 11th marks aren't considered. And then to appear for JEE Advanced which is the gateway for admission to IITs, you will need to fulfill the 75% aggregate condition. Now it is 75% for General Category and 65% for Reserved Categories. So how much you score in 12th is what matters to secure your eligibility for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and JEE Advanced.
CAT is the entrance examination for admission to Master's programmes in all the 20 IIMs and as many as 1000 participating Institutions. Through JEE you get to study B.Tech and through CAT you get to study MBA. And you need to have a Bachelor's degree to appear for CAT. So there is no comparision between both the examinations.
Yes, you can but if you are an IIT Aspirant, you should only have a one year gap between passing 12th and joining B.Sc. and applying and aceing for JEE Advanced. In case of JEE Mains, unless you have some categorical advanatage, you can atmost have a 2 year difference between passing Class 12 and Aceing JEE Main, taking admission in NIT or GFTI.
However, I believe if you are seriously interested in pursuing JEE, you need to prepare with full dedication and determination and should waste your time and money by enrolling yourself in a B.Sc. course. Instead, you should invest in good preparation material or coaching institute and Test series and study seriously.
You can go to IIT's/NIT's by qualifying IIT JAM exam. So year after BSc you can obviously join IIT's/NIT's. For MTech you need to have a MSc , after MSc you can pursue MTech by qualifying GATE and you can get admitted in different uni's including IIT's.
Also in some courses you may get a chance of doing Integrated PhD/MSc-Mtech course after qualifying your IIT JAM exam.
Wish you a great eve!
