Indian Institute of Technology
Hello
As you may know admission to IIT Madras' MA programme is done on the basis of the score in HSEE Exam. The result is not given in th eform of cutoffs hence only aggregate marks are known. For general c ategory ana ggregate of 87 is needed to expecta seat in MA in IITM.
Dear aspirant,
According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about the exams that are conducted to take admission in IITs.
Here are the following exams:-
1- Jee advanced ( For B.tech and Dual degree)
2- GATE(For Mtech )
3-For PhD. Seperate exams are conducted
4-If you want to do MBA from IIT then you have to clear CAT.
Sardar Patel Insititute of Technology is also a decent institute. But obviously, nothing cannot be compared to IITs and NITs. So to choose between the two things, your personal opinion and family support will matter more. If they are okay with the drop, and if you say to yourself to crack the JEEexam next year then you can surely go for it because nothing can beat the education quality, internship opportunities and high quality placements of IITs.
Now considering the other situation, if your family isnt supporting for taking a drop, then even SPT is a decent government college with decent enough placements specially in CS and IT branch. So you can surely take that too. Make sure you study the technical learning well there then surely you can get a decent company.

For year 2021, JEE Mains2021, the eligibility criteria tends to be

Hello Deepak!
If you only appear Maths in NIOS, you will become eligible for appearing JEE Mains but problems will arise when you will sit for JOSAA or CSAB counseling because you can cannot provide two marksheets at once.
As per the NIOS website, it does not provide pass certificates/marksheets for only one subject. A student needs to have 5 subjects to get a certificate. So, it is better if you appear for on demand exam of NIOS and clear two papers and also apply for TOC ( Transfer Of Credit) for getting the marks of other 3 subjects(i.e Physics, Chemistry and English/or any other subject).
In this way, you can apply for IITs with a single marksheet. If you sit in counseling, and provide marksheets of two different boards it will be problematic.
Hope you are clear!
Hi Aspirant,
Time matters but concentration matters more.If you can pursue hard work and concentration level for the 18th months then you can surely succeed.Cracking JEE advanced lies in understanding the fundamentals along with practising lots of numericals and previous years paper to understand the pattern. So study hard and you will surely succeed.Practise lots of maths since the maximum number of marks you can score from that part.
Hope it helps!!
Hii,
AIR 400 in the GATE exam will get you in most of the IITs.
As to get into IISC Bangalore or IIT BOMBAY for M.Tech requires around AIR 100 and similarly it varies from College to College.
The GATE scorecard is valid for three years
Every PSU is having their individual cutoff of Gate.
Below table gives you an overview of NTPC GATE recruitment branch wise of the year 2018 and 2017 .
For more information about the GATE cutoff please check out the link mentioned below

Hope this will help you,
All the very best!!
Hello Aspirant,
See according to your category and percentile in CAT you have no chances to get call from any of the IIMs because top IIMs such as IIM A,B,C and so on call the candidates having more than 99 percentile and good academic records and even those seven baby IIMs also have their shortlisting cut-offs around 92-95 percentile but on such percentile you have some chances to get seat in some B-Schools other than IIMs like :-
But also note that for shortlisting of candidates for WAT/GD-PI if there is in the B-School admission process then your academic performance and diversity also comes into play means your academic performance in class 10th and 12th, his graduation percentage, graduation background and Job experience is also considered for admission to IIMs and other B-Schools in India.
To check the cut-off for above mentioned B-schools and complete list of other colleges which you can get on such percentile, kindly check out the link given below :-
https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/what-are-my-mba-admission-chances-70-80-percentile-in-cat
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
If the names in both the Marksheet of 10th and 12th is same then probably it will not going to create any problems while taking admission in NIT or IIT.
since for admission and any other procedure of admission the Names which is written in 10th marksheet will be taken.
So i think it will not going to create any problem.
Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as General if not then please correct me.
As we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for General/Open category was 2070 for Aerospace Engineering branch in IIT Bombay. See it is quite difficult to tell you about exact marks to score because for JEE-Advance no maximum marks are fixed but yes with regards to JEE-Advance 2021 if you secure your AIR in JEE-Advance under top 2050 then there are good chances for you to get Aerospace Engineering branch in IIT Bombay.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
