Indian Institute of Technology
Hello aspirant, hope you are doing good.
So, as you might be knowing , the preparatory rank in JEE Advanced are not actual ranks, but they are the ranks allotted to the category students for the vacant seats. With this rank, you will be trained for a year in the IITs, and by the end of the year you will be declared pass or fail. You will have to qualify to that particular exam at the end of the year, to be able to get a confirmed seat in IIT. You do not have to give JEE Advance again.
If you want to know about all the possible colleges you can get into with your JEE Advanced rank, you can get it here:

Hope this helps you. Good Luck!!
Hello Aspirant,
Getting admission into a IIT depends upon mostly on your rank and category. But, it also depends upon factors like no. of students appeared and applied, seat availability at college, exam difficulty level and previous years cutoff trends.
Seeing your rank and category, you would get a good IIT . You can use our college predictor link given below to view the preferred college available for you according to your rank and category,
For more reference, you may also have a look at the previous years cutoff trends of various IITs given below,

Hope that helps. Good luck
Hi Aspirant!
If you talk about best course in any of these no one can suggest you that as if you like any branch you will end up emerging best possibilities from that. And if you talk about trend todays world is all about computer technology hence CSE AND ECE is on boom.
I just want to suggest you that go on with your choice and if you are not clear choose CSE or ECE you will end up find your path after getting selected.
Happy Hustling!
All the IITs will run preparatory courses of one year duration for SC, ST and PwD candidates which would to prepare them to pursue the academic program to which they have been allocated. At the end of this course, candidates are declared as pass or fail.
After successfully completing the course, you will be allocated your branch.
But, at the end of the course, if you want to give JEE Advanced examination again you can give it owing to its eligibility criteria.
Also, it is not possible to get admission into any IIT directly into a B Tech course if you have a preparatory rank.
Hi dear, I have read your question on this i would like to tell you that the students who have good All India Rank upto 45K in those 45K students there are only 55% candidates or qualifiers give JEE Advance that's why sometimes a person who have rank above 150K gets admission in Lowermost NIT's. So if you want to get CSE branch in SVNIT you can surely get into that.
You can also take help of Careers360 College Predictor to to predict your college on behalf of your rank you have got(link mentioned below); https://engineering. careers360.com/jee-main- college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici= qna_answer
Good Luck.
Hello,
So, as per your question you mentioned your preparatory SC rank as 2313. You have to understand that it means if you choose IIT you will get a chance to stay there and prepare for Exams which if you qualify will then give you admission directly to IIT for B Tech courses. In this course they will prepare you for subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics then after a year they would take a test to see if you have qualified and showed improvement. In my opinion if you are aiming for IITs only then you could choose this.
Good luck.
