what iit can I get at a rank of 18971in jee advanced general category male

tinni.chats 5th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant, hope you are doing good.

So, I'm extremely sorry to tell you  this but with your JEE Advanced rank, it's not possible for you to get a seat in any IITs, for any branch. To get into the top IITs, you have to have a rank between 100, and although the cutoffs change every year, very evidently you still don't have a chance with your rank.

You can still find out all the colleges that you can get into with your JEE Advanced rank, using this tool:

Hope this helps you. Good luck!

According to the rank and category mentioned by you in the question you have good chances of getting IIT Roorkee with ECE Branch according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the closing rank for ECE branch in IIT Roorkee was 3109 for General category Female.

You can check out previous year's cut-offs for IIT Roorkee from the link given below :-

I want take admission in IIT but what is the process

Ritik goyal 5th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Step wise process to take admission in IIT:-

  • Start preparing for IIT entrance examination which is called jee examination.
  • To give the entrance examination for IIT you have to qualify one more paper which is called JEE mains paper.
  • After clearing the cutoff of JEE mains paper then you have a chance to go for JEE advanced paper for getting admission in IIT.
  • In case you don't qualify JEE mains cut off then there is no chance to to get admission in IIT without clearing the cutoff of JEE Mains.
  • If you to clear the cutoff of JEE Mains then you have a chance to give the JEE advanced paper.
  • If you qualify the cutoff of JEE advanced and get a good rank then you have a chance to get good IIT with good branch for this you have to go for counselling and get college.

So this is the whole process to get admission in IIT.
