In case of reputed government institutions (viz. NITs and IITs), Ph.D. is a must for getting shortlisted and eligible for the selection process for the post of Assistant Professor.
Some colleges also ask for experience, while others look at your curriculum and projects, others at research publications, research vision etc. Thus it varies from one college to another. But the process is not easy.

For applying to IIT Bombay for Mtech course you have to first appear and qualify for GATE/MAT/CAT/UGC-JRF/UGC-NET examination
Based on qualifying scores students have to register for counselling on IIT bombay website.
Then selection process will happen for admission in IIT Bombay
Yes you can avail the supernumerary seats in IITs. OCI students are treated as Indian Nationals if they complete 12th class from India. But if someone tries to study in India after completing 12th or equivalent from other countries, he or she will be treated as Foreign Student.
Female supernumerary seats were created in 2018 to increase the female students in engineering colleges and to provide extra opportunity to female candidates. Previously the male female ratio in engineering colleges were 10:1 and after this decision the ratio became 7:1.

TCS - Rs 0.49 lakh to Rs 10.19 lakh based on experience 1- 10yrs.

junior Mechanical engineer - Rs 24,440 per month
But remember this can be varies according to Organization and also based on your Experience, you have to do hard work to getting these salary and will solve the problem that Company Provide.

Hello ashisheeeeee , Yes the scope of mechanical engineering is increased in IIT Delhi it is in the list of top 3 mechanical college of India and its average package for mechanical is approx. 9 lakh per annum and highest was 45 lakh per annum. And the placement % is increased in 2019-20 by 4%.

The average Gross salary was around 12 LPA and CTC offered was around 15 LPA In IIT BOMBAY.
The average would be around 7-10 LPA And overall package would be around 8- 14 LPA in IIT DELHI.
You may get around 50 LPA from IITs based on your performance.
So it mainly depends on your skills,talent and higher studies
