From the point of view of placements, for M.sc in physics from IIT, Kharagpur the students who opted for placement, almost all of them were placed. The highest package was 20 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. Out of the total number of students getting placed, almost 50% of the students got placed in core fields, and the rest got placed in non-core fields like data analytics and finance. The total fees for this course is
Rs. 10.41 lakhs
Integrated degree of M. Sc in Mathematics from NIT, Rourkela will cost a total of Rs. 2.43 lakhs. About 70% of the students get placed from college. It's difficult to estimate the average packages, as many students opt for a PhD after completing the course. But the average salary package offered ranges from 8-9 LPA. Last year, one of the students from the 5th year got the highest salary package of 28 LPA by Goldman Sachs.

For the academic year 2019-20 there is a relaxation given to minimum passing percentage for admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs due to corona. This might not be applicable for the academic year 2020-21. But yes, you can appear in JEE Main there is not minimum percentage that you need to obtain to appear in JEE Main but to get admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs you need to score minimum 75% aggregate and for SC/ST it is 65% aggregate. But right now there is information regarding the minimum percentage criteria for admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs through JEE Main 2021.

You are eligible for jest which gives a successful career in IISc institute far better than iits in research field. There are some other institutes like IISER, BITs giving you M.SC academics.
