mere 12th me 72%he agar me jee advanced clear kar leta hu to kya muje IIT me admission mil sakta he

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 12th Sep, 2020
Hello,

Yes, for sure.Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the minimum eligibility criteria of 75% marks of getting admission in IITs has been removed by NTA.So, candidates can get admission into IITs based on their JEE advance rank regardless of their 12th boards percentage. However this is only for 2020.

I hope this helps.

Depending upon your JEE mains rank, getting addmission in the top NIT is very difficult for you.  But, there is a chance of getting admission into a lower NIT or a IIIT of your choice. which is better? civil engineering at iit jodhpur or iit bhuvaneshvar?

Harsha Sinha 22nd Oct, 2020

Hi there,

Both the college are quite similar, in placement scenario but faculty members are quite a bit better at iit bhuvneshwar.

Secondly scope of civil engineerr are more in jodhpur and North part of the country while at the eastern sides, metallurgy and mining engineers are in demand so look for this as well while opting.

In my opinion you must go with iit jodhpur,

I hope this helps

Tunir Sikdar 22nd Oct, 2020

Hi,

Some of the best IITs for aerospace engineering:

  • IIT Bombay

  • IIT Kanpur

Aerospace Engineering is a 4 year degree course which enables students to learn and work with applications and understand designing of aircrafts, missile technology, defence technology and other things related to space.

You can check cutoff at:

Coming to second part of question, you can get into ISRO my appearing for the entrance examination.

Eligibility for ISRO Recruitment

  • Candidates must have qualified B.E/B.Tech or equivalent qualifying degree in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA of 6.84 on a scale of 10. ISRO is strict about the CGPA or marks and doesn’t consider anything less than the given criteria. i got 52 percentile and i am qualified to write advanced what mark should I get to get an NIT or IIT ?

Anurag Khanna 12th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the percentile you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs as per previous year's cut-offs but I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks. Also you have been qualified for JEE-Advance as you have mentioned in the question so for getting any of the good IIT you should try to secure your rank under 10,000.

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

for a "ST" category student . What rank in jee adv will be a safe rank for IIT(ECE/EE/CS) ? i knw its impossible to predict mark but is there any aprox prediction ????

Akash kumar 12th Sep, 2020
Hey there!

For a ST category student, you could expect to get top IITs like Bombay, Kanpur, Delhi, Kharagpur if you have ST rank of 0-50, these are gender neutral ranks, if you are a female candidate then these ranks could be higher. If you want to get into any IIT, then you could do so, with rank being below 400-300. These predictions are on the basis of last years cut offs and they may vary every year. Now, that JEE mains results are out, you can also checkout the jee main college predictor tool, to see the option of colleges you have based on your jee mains rank, here's the link - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
