I believe you are mistaken there are no Metallurgy Courses at IIT ISM Dhanbad. Department of Mining Engineering has three courses namely Mining, Mineral and Mining Machinery, and all three of them experience almost 90% placements with conglomerates like Tata Steel, Hindalco, Vedanta, Coal India, ExxonMobil, Schlumberger being regular recruiters.

For the cutoff is changed every year according to no of the member who is participated in the exam and The decrease in the performance level of the candidates. As per the perivious year cutoff
