Indian Institute of Technology
Hello Ravikant,
Yes you can pursue but if you're doing BSc in any science field then in the final year or 3rd year of your BSc you can give IIT-JAM entrance. If you are lucky enough to clear that then you can pursue your MSc in reputed IIT Colleges.
And
If you are willing to pursue engineering then you'll have to crack JEE entrance.
Hope you find this useful.
Hello Student,
A rank of 4970 sc rank is a bit low of a rank. The competition increases by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores is also higher. Hence, the top nits and IIITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IITs also would be a bit tough.
You have mentioned that you belong to the sc category, the chances of you getting into some some of these universities are a bit more. There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities.
Some other good universities with this rank would be:
1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai
2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur
3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh
4. CBIT
5. Delhi university
6. Vasavi College

Dear Student,
basing of many of the reviews given, the overall rating for IIT Dhanbad is the best. But if you want to look on the basis of faculty, then IIT Indore has a higher rating for its faculty. Not only does it have the best faculty it also has a good record for placements with its median package of INR 13 lakhs. The placements in IIT Dhanbad and NIT Trichy is good to with a median package of 8-9 lakhs. However do keep in mind that the reviews given are all based on student opinions which may differ from person to person. Hello Aspirant,
The Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is an all-India level online entrance exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) every year on a rotational basis on behalf of Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
This implies that candidates after graduating from their course sit for this exam to pursue the Masters from IITs.
Last year, IIT JAM exam was conducted for six Science subjects. However, JAM 2021 will be conducted for seven subjects which are Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Sciences (MS) and Physics (PH). The new paper added for JAM 2021 admissions is Economics.
Hence coming back to your question, yes you can sit for the exam for Mathematics.
Hi there!
I would say IIT Roorkee civil department. When the school was opened in 1847, it had been solely for the aim of engineering , hence, the oldest engineering department in India. It has few of India’s best engineering faculties also as labs and instruments.
Thanks
In my opinion, you should go for IIT Dhanbad, talking about Mathematics and Computing,
It's popularity is increasing among students..
In ISM Mathematics and Computing is growing ,Coding culture is additionally nurturing ,their are various coding related clubs like ACM, Cyber Labs. The placements are also good, this year it had been 100% for MNC.The only GSOC 2K15 intern was also from MNC.
It's an five year integrated M. Tech course in ISM.
Various IT giants -Google, Microsoft ,Facebook visited ISM campus.
As ISM possesses IIT tag so growth chances are that good in every perspective.
Thank You.
