iit Kharagpur mechanical vs iit indoor electrical for girls, which one is better

Nitya 9th Oct, 2020
Hello,
According to 2020 ranking of engineering colleges
  1. IIT KHARAGPUR is ranked 4th
  2. IIT INDORE is ranked 12th
Rankwise it can considered. But branches you have chances of getting are different, so comparing 2 branches
  • Mechanical Engineering- It is one of the best branch, and there is nothing like it is not fit for a girl. What is needed at the time of placement is your knowledge, skill and your performance irrespective of your gender. So if you feel like going with this branch and its subjects then Mechanical Eng. in IIT Kharagpur will be best.
  • And if you are more interested in Electrical Engineering then you can go for this. In the end you have chances of getting topmost IITs, both the IITs are topmost. So after ranking, you should decide on the basis of your interest.

How are CSE facilities and the faculty at IIT Bhubaneswar?

rachanapbennur 9th Oct, 2020

Hello!

CSE branch at IIT Bhubaneshwar is decent but not great!

As per various reviews from different sources:

  1. Placements are good when compared to other branches and newly founded IITs. Usually the placement records are around 90%.
  2. Though the faculty are well knowleged the academic staff is not too good at delivering the content.
  3. Facilities are just upto the mark, not excellent either.
  4. Curriculum is fine but needs to be updated to the current trend and requirement.

These were the common responses of the students who study or studied CSE in IIT Bhubaneshwar. Research more about the college, placements etc and then decide.

sir mera 12 me 70% h kya main IIT ka exam de sakta huin, sc category se belong karta hun

Anurag Khanna 30th Aug, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Only for this year in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic government and the competent authorities responsible for JEE provided the relaxation of class 12th marks to appear in JEE-Advance. Now if you want to appear for JEE-Advance 2020 you only have to clear the cut-off of your category in JEE-Main and should have passed class 12th, there is no any restriction of marks of class 12th.

Note that this relaxation is only for this year, from the next year JEE-Advanced and JEE-Mains will be held as usual.

For admission to IITs you should compulsorily appear in JEE-Advanced. It is known that for this year JEE-Advance is scheduled on September 27th 2020.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

which option is better ceramic engineering in IIT BHU or MSc in applied geology in IIT Kharagpur?

ritikaprasad.work 9th Oct, 2020

Hey there!

Both are some of the best Institutes in India. Firstly it depends on your choices. Do you want to pursue geology? Because it's really different from engineering which you would've initially goaled for. In terms of colleges, IIT Kharagpur is preferred over IIT BHU but both are great colleges, make a choice depending on what field you want to pursue.

NSUT(cs) vs iit delhi (mechanical engineering) . placement and average salary . also discuss avg salary of electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur.

Luckshaya Kem 8th Oct, 2020
Hi,

NSUT Computer Engineering is the best option you have if you compare to IIT Delhi Mechanical and IIT Kanpur Electrical.. in terms of placement .. mechanical and electrical branches are know fading in jobs... Literally very less jobs are left whether it's private sector or government sector. Computer branch has a huge scope in private sector and in government sector as well .. and packages are also good in computer science branch.. as compared to other branches.

sir please suggest which is best iit plaked cs v/s nit surat cs

Kanith Sawkar 8th Oct, 2020

Hey aspirant,

I believe you are referring to IIT Palakkad and want to know whether this college or NIT Surat is the better one, so here is some information on these two colleges.

SVNIT also known as NIT Surat was established in 1961 and is one of the top engineering colleges in India, ranked 54th by NIRF. It has a huge campus and good infrastructure as well. In terms of placement, 500+ students from B.Tech, M.Tech, and M.Sc. programs were placed in different sectors of the industry. The highest salary package was Rs 37.5 lakhs per annum bagged by the CSE students, with an average package of Rs 5-7 lakh. Some of the top recruiters who participated in the 2020 placement drive include- HSBC, L&T, Ola, MU Sigma, Samsung, JP Morgan, Capgemini etc. Apart from them, several exciting fests are organized in the campus, among which MindBend, the annual tech fest is the biggest in Gujarat.

IIT Palakkad is one of the newly established, emerging institutes in India which was launched recently in 2015. Within a short time, they have been able to start most B.Tech courses along with M.Sc, M.Tech, PhD courses at two temporary campuses. The permanent, 500 acre, picturesque campus in the backdrop of Western Ghats, but that may take sometime to open. Placement has been really good, with highest package of 21 lakhs and average package of 7-9 lakhs offered to students by companies like GE, OYO, TCS, Cloudera, Vmware, HSBC etc.

It's a tough call to make. IIT Palakkad is an 'IIT', so it will have more value than that of an NIT and it is also one of the emerging institutes in the country, mentored by the No. 1 engineering institute in India, IIT Madras. So it can be an exciting thing to choose IIT Palakkad.

However if you want to go for the more established NIT Surat and want to have a great college life and preference to stay in North India, then you can go for NIT Surat.

Hope it helps. All the best!
