Minimum marks required to get admission in top colleges through MHT CET should be more than 150 for SC category students. State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra have high cutoff for really high for top colleges.

Since mechanical branch is famous in Roorkee but not in Guwahati, so I strongly suggest you to choose mechanical in IIT Roorkee and not in Guwahati. If your rank is coming under opening and closing ranks for cs in Guwahati then fill that.

There is no age bar for IIT JAM Exam. Any student who has completed B.Sc. degree with at least 55% can apply for the exam. This gives an opportunity to droppers and candidates who have surpassed the upper age limit for most of the exams.
If you’ve completed
If you have completed recognized diploma from the AICTE or a state board of technical education (minimum 3 years) than you are eligible for appearing in IIT exam. You will considered similar to 12th passed candidates.
