It depends on the companies policy only if they are willing to hire students from metallurgy department then obviously you can sit in their placements but if they don't then you can not do anything though many tech companies do allow students from all branches but many do not as well so if you are going to join metallurgy then think and join accordingly although you will get a great coding culture in iit hyderabad also you may go for off campus placements as well.

It depends on whether the iit you want is providing the preparatory course this year for the desired branch or not. Based on your rank you may most probably  get a seat in the iits you mentioned but a seat in artificial intelligence will have to be seen as it depends whether it is providing the preparatory course or not.

IIT Hyderabad is an excellent institution, but its placement record in engineering is dismal. Because most students choose higher education, physics isn't very excellent. Engineering physics, unlike conventional engineering disciplines, is not restricted to a single field of science or physics. Looking at the same placement records are also not that great. The average CTC one can easily grab in 30 LPA but the job opportunities available are in varied fields like in applied physics for a selected specialty such as optics  , quantum physics , materials science , applied mechanics , nanotechnology  , microfabrication , mechanical engineering , biophysics , control theory , aerodynamics , energy ), solid-state physics .

I hope you are doing fine, It totally depends on your college and the companies that visit your college and what packages they offer. It varies college to college and company to company. Like for example the same company will offer more package to a student from a good college but less package to student from college that is not that good. There are many job opportunities, companies provide to BCom students. Some of them are listed below -

• Financial Services.
• Commercial Banking.
• International Banking.
• Insurance Services.
• Telecommunication Services and BPO's.
• Manufacturing Services.

The average salary is 2 lakh per annum for starters if you complete your BCom from good college and it increases to around 4-4.5 Lakhs per annum

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you, jee main is not enough to get any IIT. you should have to qualify jee advanced. Do work hard and should focus on achieving high and high in entrance exam it totally depends upon the examination if paper is simple then cutoff goes high gradually and if paper or examination is hard then cutoff goes down. You should certainly work hard and should try to achieve high and high in examination.

Hi, if you are not sure of metallurgy and material science that this is what you want to do for the rest of your life than it is advised to not take up a branch that is very specialized. You can opt for more open branches like Mechanical, CS, IT. Chemical Engineering has a huge demand when it comes for Job opportunities. It would be a safer option than to go for Metallurgy and material Science. If you think that the new IIT you got Mechanical in is going to bloom over the years than it is fine. If you think that the value of that IIT won't be that much you can ignore. If you are ready to compromise with the IITs you wish to get in then you can choose Chemical or Mechanical. IIT MADRAS - Electrical Engineering -> Almost 80% of students get placements from EE branch yearly. The highest package received in the year 2018-19 is 39LPA. Firstly NITs are better than IITe right. So placement are better in IITs. Then comparing IITH has signed numerous national and international MoUs with corporates and universities for collaboration on academic and professional fronts. Classrooms are top-notch. The library is still in the construction period. Hostel facilities are good. The cleanliness, quality it serves is up to the mark. Personal rooms with sharing are there. Every facility is available for students. Canteen, supermarket etc.

Now NIT Trichy has better placements and internships as compared to Hyderabad. 80-90% of students get placed in different domains. Companies like L&T, Cantilever, PSUs, etc., come for placements. The highest package offered was 17 LPA, and the lowest package was 6 LPA. 15-30% of students got internships.

Finally you go for NIT Trichy is better for internships and jobs offers.
