The total number of seats in ISM Dhanbad for Mining Engineering is 89 and for Mining Machinary Engineering is 50 for neutral gender i.e for both girls and boys. The closing rank for Mining Engineering last year was 8396 and for Mining Machinary Engineering was 8892. So you can say that this year also the ranks will be around this only.

No. There is no reservation on the basis of home state in IIT colleges as IITs are national colleges. Home state quotas are available in state government colleges.

If you want to do Petroleum Engineering in ISM Dhanbad, you need to get score good Marks in JEE Mains. Based on your marks, 10+2 score, then you’ll be alloted to the college. Petroleum engineering doesn’t has that much of scope in India. But it has lots of demand in Gulf Countries. 

The total fee for Petroleum engineering at ISM Dhanbad is 3.27 Lakhs and the total intake is 65 seats. 

You need to study well in JEE Mains in exams. All you need to concentrate in Concepts, formulas and important Topics for exams. Practise for online mock tests and check your results.

Yes you can apply for faculty in chem engg in any college and you can a good one as now the new rule for faculty is to be PhD, son't know from when government is applying for that but its coming soon. So good luck.

I believe you are talking about Indian School of Mining (ISM), Dhanbad, here. The CAT cutoff for the institute is usually high ranging between 80-85 percentile. The cutoff keeps changing every year. So, it may go up or down depending on the difficulty level of the CAT 2018 exam. Once you meet the cutoff of the institute, you will be called for the selection rounds which may include GD and PI. For the final selection, your past academic scores (10th, 12th, and graduation) and work experience may also come under consideration.

though its possible to change your diploma field but its quite difficult to get admission in the institute after doing so as it lowers your status and specially the central govt institutes like IITs and ISMs have no way to enroll diploma candidates
