Hi Prashant, the placements are very good basically in IITs. And doing an M.Tech can seriously land you in top notch companies with basically nice packages.

Firstly, coming to IIT Roorkee, the compabies that generally visit are, Qualcomm, Intel, Cisco, Cummings India Ltd. These companies offer an average package of 13-15 lpa. There are some companies like Analog Devices, for some specific courses with average around 10-12 lpa. Some companies like Eaton, Tata Motors recruit with average packages around 8-10 lpa. 

Secondly, IIT Indore, the above mentioned companies too go there but provide more or less same salary packages around. Here mostly software companies make in like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft etc. And then come electronic companies like finisar, Intel etc. The packages are the same like the ones offered in IIT Roorkee.

According to the elligibility criteria, ST/SC and Pwd candidates need to pass the 10+2 or any equivalent examination and need to score aggregate of minimum 65% . So, yes, you can be eligible for giving the JEE exam, if you score a minimum of 65% in you 12th standard.

The previous year GATE cutoff for IIT Indore was 742 for Mechanical Engineering.
With this you can get the top NIT college but not the top IITs or IIT Indore.
