Tushar Deotale Student Expert 23rd Apr, 2019
Hii Puja.Your marks are bit good.As per the previous year cutoffs you have a very tough chance of getting IIT Indore as the cutoffs are high. You can get lower ranked IITs such as IIT Patna, IIT Bhubaneshwar, IIT Mandi, etc.and some medium ranked NITs such as NIT Nagpur, NIT Raipur, NIT Rourkela, etc. You can check for Colleges on Career360 Gate College Predictor.

My GATE-19 Rank score is 519 in EC paper, I am general catagory student, can i get admission in IIT indore in VLSI or, Communications ??

Aditya Sharma Student Expert 20th Apr, 2019

Hey Ranjit.

See the marks u have scored is not enough for u to get a seat in the VLSI branch in any of the IITs but it might be sufficient to grab u a seat in the NITs for pursuing ur higher studies in the field of ur interest. U can also opt for other state colleges and private institutions for ur MTECH career.

I m providing u a link for ur help.

How are the placements for MTech in VLSI in IIT INDORE? What are the companies coming for recruitment and how are the packages?

Neha Student Expert 9th Apr, 2019

Hi Vinay,

Mtech placement at IITI is in very bad shape and its not only the institute liable for such a poor condition. Nowadays, students leverage Mtech in IIT’s for stipend and that they will have enough time to prepare for their competitive exams. Only a few have their focus on their course or research and evidently, those few get placed and have the opportunities to do research from prestigious foreign universities on Professor’s recommendation.

So concluding I would say that maybe the placements are not so good for M.Tech but if you are focused, you can archive much there.

For more information on placements visit http://placement.iiti.ac.in/

I hope it helps.

All the best.
