Hey Ranjit.
See the marks u have scored is not enough for u to get a seat in the VLSI branch in any of the IITs but it might be sufficient to grab u a seat in the NITs for pursuing ur higher studies in the field of ur interest. U can also opt for other state colleges and private institutions for ur MTECH career.
I m providing u a link for ur help.

Hey Ankit,
Statement of Purpose is a detailed document that talks about why you want to get admission to a certain programme. this might include, how you cultivated interest in a certain field, how your surroundings, incidences, reading list played an important role in making you the best candidate for a particular programme. It also includes your future vision after the completion of the course. This way your application can attract the most attention and better impression.
Hope it helps you.
Good luck

Hi Vinay,
Mtech placement at IITI is in very bad shape and its not only the institute liable for such a poor condition. Nowadays, students leverage Mtech in IIT’s for stipend and that they will have enough time to prepare for their competitive exams. Only a few have their focus on their course or research and evidently, those few get placed and have the opportunities to do research from prestigious foreign universities on Professor’s recommendation.
So concluding I would say that maybe the placements are not so good for M.Tech but if you are focused, you can archive much there.
For more information on placements visit http://placement.iiti.ac.in/
I hope it helps.
All the best.
