IIT indore vs IIIT Hyderabad which is best for cse

Priya Patel 17th Oct, 2021

Hello

IIIT Hyderabad is better than IIT Indore.

IIIT Hyderabad has more reputation and is better in terms of academics and competitive aspects.

In terms of syllabus, IIIT Hyderabad has an updated syllabus. For cse students, coding starts from year 1. You have to not study science, mechanics and drawing.

Every year, more students get selected to GSOC and get higher packages. Companies prefer IIIT Hyderabad

IIT indore will surely provide you IIT tag, but not better opportunities for your career.

Hope it helps

how is IIT indore for cse branch

Priyanka Singh 15th Oct, 2021

Hi,

I hope you are doing well.

IIT-I has a great placements. If we have to compare the placements to old IITs and it is far better than any of the NITs. Placements have significantly improved after IITI got its permanent campus. Also, better and better students are joining IITI every year. Cutoffs are rising fast. The opening rank is expected to be under 1000 this year for the CSE and it should close at 1500 if the trend continues. Currently opening rank for CSE is 1100 (nearly). This shows the quality of the students at IITI. campus is about 550 acres. The newly built campus is really cool! . Hostels are awesome and among the best in India if not the best.

Performance:  IITI has performed well and has reached heights which even some older IITs couldn’t reach. So to sum up the best thing is the culture.. the working culture… IITI has collaborations with major international institutions like CERN. You can read about the projects and MoUs on the website.

I hope this helps!

Hello,

Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference list which will comprise of all these factors:

  • Overall ranking
  • Infrastructure
  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
  • Placement opportunities
  • Industry Exposure

The preference order you should consider is:

  1. IIT Delhi , Biotechnology
  2. IIT Kanpur, Material
  3. IIT Madras, Metallurgical
  4. IIT Kharagpur, Material
  5. IIT Kharagpur, manufacturing Science
  6. IIT Hyderabad, Civil
  7. IIT Indore, Mechanical

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet. More reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Which is better? Nit trichy cse vs iit indore metallurgy

Anushri Varshney 15th Oct, 2021

Hi dear aspirant,

You are asking about which one is better so in simple words would say the National Institute of Technology, Trichy is the best among all. In fact, for any course, NIT Trichy offers better placements and quality education that a student needs.

Also, the reputation of this college is best and holds more value than any other as compared to other colleges.

I would suggest you go with NIT Trichy if you get the opportunity to study.

Also, you have mentioned CSE. Computer Science and Engineering is one of the best and valuable branches as compared to recent times. The need for IT engineers is increasing day by day. If you have internet in government or metallurgy related fields then go with metallurgy.

Talking about IIT Indore. See, talking about an IIT tag if you want to add the tag then go with IIT Indore but you must understand the value in future.

A wise decision is always appreciated.

Below I have mentioned some links for more knowledge:

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th Oct, 2021

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict the rank required in to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

----------)  number of students that appeared in the jee advanced exam,

----------)  kind of marks obtained by them ,

----------)   toughness level of the examination ,

----------)  number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

>>>>>>>> with 8394 rank

As per round 6 of josaa counselling,  2020 ,

You have chances in following :-

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar:- civil engineering:-11238

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar:-Mechanical Engineering and M. Tech. in Thermal Science & Engineering (5 Years, Bachelor and Master of Technology (Dual Degree)):- 9476

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Indore:- civil engineering:-8464

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad:-electrical engineering:-9130

And a few more,

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Above prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon several factors so

I got 50000 rank in obc category. which nit or iit I can apply to get seat for ece or civil engineering branch

Anirudh Singh 26th Sep, 2021

Hi.

Based on your category rank, under Other State seat (since you did not mention your home state) you will not be able to get into majority of NITs due to high cut-off under OBC ranks, under either Civil or Electronics and Communication Engineering. However, you may have decent chances under Home State quota. You can post a new question mentioning that as well.

You can use our College Predictor tool for JEE Mains to help you in finding college and branch of your choice based on your merits in the exam.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck

Whats the pattern of internal and end semester exams that are held in M.Sc Astronomy? I mean the number of questions, mcq or theoretical, openbook or take home or anything else?

Nikita 13th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

The eligibility criterion for M.Sc. Astronomy is to clear graduation from a recognized institute. The admission process of the course is an entrance exam taken by colleges which is followed by a personal interview. The average fee for the Master of Science in astronomy candidates is INR 5000 to INR 2,00,000.

To get admission in the undergraduate astronomy courses, various Universities/colleges conduct their own entrance test. one of the such entrance test is called IISC (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) that provides admission to undergraduate courses offered by IISc.

The core subjects of study in astronomy include ;

  • Physics.
  • Mathematics.
  • Quantum mechanics.
  • Celestial and fluid mechanics.
  • Positional Astronomy.
  • Space physics.
  • Astronomical techniques.
  • Electromagnetic waves and radiating system.

There is no open book such thing, the exams are conducted in college itself.
