Indian Institute of Technology Indore
with 180 marks on JEE Advance you can expect to get a rank around 1000 . Although rank can vary either side drastically because the rank is totally relative and depends on many parameters like the candidate's performance, other student's performance, the difficulty of the exam, number of students attended the exam etc.
Still, you can expect to get a rank in the range where he will have a good chance of ending into a decent IIT with a decent engineering stream.

Hi,
IIT Indore offers PhD and MSc programs in Astronomy & Astrophysics, and a minor program in Astronomy for B. Tech students. Unfortunately no BSc program is there for Astrophysics or Astronomy yet.
Alternatively, you can try for B. Tech in Engineering Physics from any of the IIT’s or IIT Indore itself and then get enrolled for Masters in Astronomy or Astrophysics and even a PhD.
To pursue Astronomy / Astrophysics as a career, you would require a very strong base in physics. So, it will be helpful if you pursue your Bachelor's in Physics / Applied physics / B. Tech in Engineering Physics and later do MSc / PhD in Astronomy / Astrophysics.
Yes, there's LAN connectivity in each room.
You can also access the institute wifi everywhere there's no limit on usage.
The charges are added to your fee structure so can't say it's free.
Hello student,
Hope you are in best of your health. So , I would suggest that always listen to your heart and take decision , age is just a number , if you want to crack iit and you think you just need a little hardwork with smartwork and you can crack IIT better go for it . Don't stop now otherwise you would always regret in life that i have one chance to chase my dreams and that risk I don't take just to compromise for the age factor , what will family ,relatives , friends say . Don't listen to anybody just go by your heart !
All the best for your future!
SC/ST students have full fee waiver at IIT's. But they have to pay the mess and hostel rent. But for some even that is waivered.
On an ave the total fee for 4 yrs comes out as 1.5-2.5 lac, changes according to colleges.

Hi Nitin!
As it is the new campus, infrastructure and other facilities are sound. Library, digital classrooms, well-equipped labs, hygienic food, sports ground, gym, intenet facilities etc., everything is available as per the requirements. The faculty members are also highly skilled. Coming to the placements, for MSc mathematics the placement record is quite low compared to other branches. Top recruiting sectors are computer science & information technologies.
Hope I answered your query, thankyou.
Hey candidate,
Students of integrated MSc ( who get enrolled after HS and want to do dual degree program, i.e. a five years course BSc + MSc) get more advantage than normal MSc students. If you have a 1st class record from secondary to MSc 3rd semester then only you can face interviews of leading companies who want to recruit MSc students as their employee. Among them, very few students only get placed at last. There is no certain number or percentage of how many students get placed as it changes every year depending on the performance of the students.
On an average, 6% to 12% get placed in some leading companies. 40% to 60% students go for MPhil and research. And the rest go for competitive exams and others.
For further information, you can refer to the previous year placement records, performances and the statistics on their official website.
Hope this information helps you.
Good luck :)
