my sc category rank 1283 in jee adv2020 and also successfully qualified for jee adv.i am intrested in cs branch in iits but as i inquired low rank iits like iit jammu is available.should i go with it or leave it and admitt in top iit with other branche

Hi Shweta

As you have qualified JEE advanced and you want to go for CS branch, I would suggest take the jammu IIT college with your preferred branch because dropping that only because it is not top of IIT would be not appropriate.

As if you have passion in particular field then whichever college you get is not much imp, you'll do great in any of it. And I believe branch over college. Although its upto you whether you are happy at particular place. Also Jammu IIT is also good in terms of academics also so you should go for it.

Hope this information helps!

how much percentile I needed for IIT jammu if I belongs to ST category and having state quota of jammu and Kashmir

Hey there!

For admission in IIT Jammu your JEE Advanced category rank must be around 600-700. I am basing this on previous years cutoffs. If you want to know what colleges you can get based on your jee main rank you can check out careers360 jee main college predictor using the link given below.

I am a b.tech final year student from Electrical Engineering . My c.g.p.a is 7.2 Am I get a chance for take admission in NIT or IIT without Gate2020?

S. Saha Student Expert 7th Feb, 2020
It is not at all possible. If you are from any CFTIs having more than 8 CGPA, then going through screening test and interview you can get into the campus. Otherwise, GATE is the only way for engineers to get a seat in IITs or NITs. Some of the NITs do consider non GATE students by the following criteria- part time, sponsored and self sponsored candidates without stipend.

Does ISRO recruits MTech CSE students through IITs?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Nov, 2019

IIST  offers Postgraduate Programmes like:

M.Tech in Soft Computing & Machine Learning

M.Tech in RF & Microwave Engineering

M.Tech in Geo informatics

M.Tech in Optical Engineering

M.Tech in Machine Learning & Computing

M.Tech in Solid State Technology

M.Tech in VLSI & Microsystems

M.Tech in Materials Science & Technology, etc.

Opportunities depend upon ISRO Placements conducted by centralised recruitment committee. But ISRO doesn't conduct campus Placements like other companies. And CSE students do not have much opportunities in ISRO. However, we would suggest you to keep visiting their official website for relevant opportunites.
