JEE Advanced maximum marks are not defined :
Maximum Marks vary every year like below:
2017- 366
2016- 372
2015 - 504
2014 - 360
So, it is difficult to predict marks as exam pattern and marks change every year but you should score more than 50% marks

If you want to apply admission in IIT kanpur,then you need to appear for JEE MAINS exam you need to be qualified in that then later,you need to appear in IIT-JEE exam,and based on your rank your branch and your seat in the college will be alloted,But
The cut off varies branch, year and category wise as you have not provided the complete detail of yours so you are advised to go through the below link to check the previous year cut off trend to get a rough idea about the required rank for 2018 admissions -

IIT kanpur takes admission based on jee advance rank. so if you have rank(max) 5000. you'll get a seat. but remember you won't get trade you want. Better if you aim for 2000.
