Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
Hello,
First of all I want to verify something. If the application commenced from March 23rd, 2021 to April 15th, 2021 for PG programmes at IIT Kanpur, then this information is for you, if you have applied under the same date. Since this date is for PG courses and you have also applied for M.Tech programme, I assume this information is for you.
Unfortunately you cannot edit, revise, or rectify your details after submission of form. It is official mentioned on the website of IIT Kanpur. But as you have mailed, keep trying. Apart from this, there is nothing you can do.
Good Luck.
In Statement of purpose you need to write why you are interested to join in the course. It should be crafted either on a paper or word document. You should communicate the purpose effectively. In the statement of purpose you need to write about your goals, interests, past experience, achievements in the respective field, the qualities that you posses and why do you deem yourself fit for the course. It should be precise yet clearly and effectively communicated through your words. It shouldn't be more than one page or two.
Hello there,
This depends upon the various factors such as number of candidates applying, attending tests, last year's cutoffs, difficulty level of JEE advanced etc. Cutoffs also defer for various coarses. Please check out the link for more information:

Thank you.
Hello Aspirant,
Considering this query for B.Tech course and if you want to ask for admission to any other course then please mention it.
As we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for EWS category was :-
IIT Bombay - Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science - 807
IIT Madras - Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science - 1187
IIT Kharagpur - Agricultural and Food Engineering - 1790
IIT Kanpur - Materials Science and Engineering - 1314
IIT Delhi - Textile Technology - 1442
See it is quite difficult to tell you about exact marks to score because for JEE-Advance no maximum marks are fixed but yes with regards to JEE-Advance 2021 if you secure your AIR in JEE-Advance under top 1000 under EWS category then there are good chances for you to get above IITs.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

It would to be difficult to predict the exact score because the marks vs rank trend changes every year as the maximum marks to JEE Advanced changes every year. The cut off rank in JoSAA 2020 round 6 for admission to IIT, Kanpur in Aerospace Engineering was 1968 for OBC-NCL category. Taking the cut off rank in to consideration you should try to score 50-55% of the total score in JEE Advanced. The rank corresponding to the score that you score may change depending on total number of candidates appeared, top score in the exam and normalized score. To check the cut off you can logon to JOSAA official website or you can use the link below
hi,
the both of the institute you have mentioned is excellent for its academic curriculum, college infrastructure, faculty students ratio, research opportunity, excellent labs and exposure for international internship. there is many notable alumni you may have heard of, who has completed their bachelors from iit kanpur or Indian institute of space science and technology. however based on the students review I would prefer to IIST for aerospace engineering since it is well connected with ISRO, which gives the opportunity for students to real time practical experience while studying the bachelors courses.
