I get 9845 rank in jee mains. Can i get seat in iit bombay or iit madras or iist tiruvunantapuram for aerospace engineering?

Monika Sundar 31st May, 2019

Hi Mukesh,

Congrats on your jee main rank. Considering the rank mentioned is in general category, it is a very good rank. But you can not claim for admission in any IIT or IIST using your JEE Mains rank. You need to clear JEE Advanced with a general rank of 4000 or below to get into IIT Bombay or IIT Madras or IIST Thiruvananthapuram. With your mains rank, you can get into very good NITs like NIT Warangal etc.

Feel free to ask anymore queries if any.

All the best!!!

Iitm janakpuri (ipu affilated) or cgc(ptu affilated) which is one good for btech cse

Ritik nakra Student Expert 30th May, 2019

Institute of Information Technology and Management (IITM) which is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University is better than Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) affiliated to PTU Jalandhar if we talk about academic and faculty but when it comes to placements and infrastructure CGC is better than IITM.

I have a Gate score of 831 in EE with AIR 315, Can i get control and instrumentation at IIT Madras or IIT Bombay?

ALIND DWIVEDI 30th May, 2019

Dear B Sumit

As you had mentioned your rank AIR 315 , then by looking into previous years cutoff for

Control and computing specialization is 510 General.

OBC 459

SCST 340

So by seeing last year cutoff you should get admission into IIT Bombay.

For IIT Madras the General cutoff for control and instrumentation is 779

So you get a strong chance to get any of them with your, favourite specialization.

Congratulations IItian.

I have 94% in tenth,73% in 12th,btech with 87%,and an mtech cse from IIT Madras, what percentile should I aim for cat to get into the iim abc

G Rakesh 29th May, 2019

Hello.

This minimum percentile game is tricky. There are things that you need to keep in mind:
1) which IIM are you looking at? - For IIM Ahmedabad your academic qualifications are not very important. A 65+ in each of X, XII and graduation (if grads>70m, then X or XII could be between 60 and 65 as well) will ensure that you clear the minimum academic rating score. Thus, all that matters is that you clear the cut-off (99.65+). Others like IIM B need you to have a decent academic background

2) Your academic background - Say you are one of those who has scored 90+ in X and XII and 80+ in graduation, then even a 96-97 percentile might fetch you a call from IIM B, K, I and the likes.

If your acads are okayish, then aim for a 98.5+ and you stand a chance to get a call from at least one of the IIMs.

Hope this is helpful.

Good luck.

What will be the salary of after BBA???......from IP university

Sk Student Expert 28th May, 2019
Hi
You may get a job after passing from IP University after doing BBA but it totally depends on you what you have learnt in those three years.
You should study hard and should get good marks. You should try to improve your CV. You can do internship, any course which you are interested.  You should take part in college activities. You should try to improve your communication skills as well as writing skills.
In BBA there should be a good CV and good communicating skills.
Keep your percentage atleast 70% above.

Estimate salary will be 20k/month. But you should not rely on it.

For aerospace engineering which is best college mentioned below, iit Madras, iit Kanpur, iit karaghpur, iit Bombay, iist thiruvananthapuram?

dandeharitha 21st Nov, 2020

Hello aspirant,

By far IIT kharagpur and IIT Bombay are considered the best aeronautics engineering colleges according to multiple surveys. Then ofcourse are iit Kanpur and IIT Madras. To be true prospect of aeronautics and aerospace in India is pretty low if you are not in one of the above mentioned institution and even if one manages to get through with jee and get into these institution only the top rung of students get good jobs. Ofcourse there is a lot of prospect in the aerospace engineering field as far as research and development is considered abroad and in india too in institution like ISRO . Hindustan aeronautics in India recruits aeronautic engineer. I would also like to mention if u would like to study aeronautics or aerospace engineering. And you do a good bit of research on this.

Thankyou
