Hello Aspirant, IIT has always been a synonym for quality education. IIT roorkee has a very good C.SE department and the branch is excellent. The infrastructure is great and the college has very huge placement records like 1 crore from Microsoft, etc. You shouldn't be too much dependant on faculty
The placement ratio is around 90-95% and above. The average package to a MTech post graduate is around 8-10 lakhs where the highest salary to some goes as high as 20-25 lakhs. At the end it depends on the student that is you only about how you are going to

Doing any course from IIT Roorkee is itself an achievement. and to be honest very good companies comes and visit the campus for placements and they really takes a good amount to students to their companies. so don't worry about the placement placement rate is quite good
