Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee
See Rohan you gave choice meta in IIT Kharagpur and chemical in IIT BHU. Both colleges are good. So it completely depends on what do you like and in which field you want to pursue your career. Chemical engineering is flourishing day by day. It is receiving more offers day by day . But IIT Kharagpur is more better than IIT BHU .
If it was IIT Kharagpur chemical then without any thinking I should have gone with it. But you have to select between the choice.
Chose wisely.
All the best.
No it's not true . IIT Roorkee have msc courses in applied geology. Almost all IIT have this course including IIT Kharagpur IIT Bombay a nd IIT ism Dhanbad. If you have made your mind for IIT Roorkee then you should go for it. If not then I will suggest IIT Kharagpur as it has many things better than other IIT. So it will be best.
Thank you
See Ritik this has became a common mindset of candidates that they would join some college then after 1 year they would do branch change. Rather than focusing on their curricullum they start to focus on branch change. This affects their results also.
But as you have asked IIT Kanpur vs IIT Roorkee branch change so i will suggest iit kanpur because they have a slighter flexibility in branch change. Branch change is possible at the end of 2nd, 3rd, 4th semester. Although you have to work very hard in order to score near to 10 cgpa for cse, around 9 for electrical, mechanical.
But i would suggest you to go with what you like rather than going with what people says.
hello Kiran,
The Indian Institute of Technology,Roorkee provides M.Tech courses in Structural Dynamics and the course is of 2 year duration. the admission is done through Gate entrance exam and 10% seats are provided without Gate exam to whose who score 8 cgpa on a scale of 10.
the cutoff of Gate marks and aggregate percentage required for getting admission in structual dynamics field are.
category cutoff
general 27.49
obc 27.49
sc 19.86
st 20.8
hope this may help you.
See as you have provided different courses and different colleges. So we will take it one by one. First the college. IIT Roorkee and IIT BHU and IIT Guwahati. So see regarding IIT Roorkee and Guwahati both are one of the oldest IIT. BHU got IIT tag recently. So regarding placement , IIT Roorkee slightly Dominate over IIT Guwahati but sometimes Guwahati dominate . BHU is less than both.
But regarding research BHU is one of the best .
Now talking about ECE and ee . So it completely depends on your choice. Your preference . If you like doing coding with electric then ECE is best and also it is slightly inclined towards IT industry's. If you like pure electrical then ee is best.
I would suggest go for ECE in IIT Roorkee or if not then in IIT Guwahati. You will get a better environment .
Thank you.
First of all as the name suggests IIT Roorke offers Electronics and Communications Engineering whereas IIT BHU offers Electronics Engineering so definately some of the courses on Communications systems would be replaced by more core Electronics subjects. Placements do not vary much if we consider both the instititutes.
You can see a detailed course plan of each of these programs which is available on the official website of the institutions.
Hello,Dhwal
Hope this helps.
Best of Luck!
Hello...
Non core jobs like business analyst , associate etc in MNC's like EXL services , American express and other consulting firms . These jobs pay can reach up to 15lpa which is far more than core jobs here. Average package in non-core companies is somewhat between 6-7lpa.
For further queries feel free to comment.
Placement of architecture in IIT roorkee is not good as other branches of IITs. In core branch there are students who don't even get placed. If you are lucky then you can get a job of 5 lpa.
