The admission into Bachelor of architecture course at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee is not based on JEE Main paper 2 the admission process for Bachelor of architecture at IIT Roorkee IIT Kharagpur follows the following procedur.

• A student need to appear for JEE Main paper 1 and qualify it to be eligible to appear for JEE advanced and only top 2 like a students are only able to qualify JEE Main paper 1 who are eligible to appear for JEE advanced.
• Once you qualified JEE Main paper 1 you need to appear for JEE advanced and qualified JEE advanced that is your score must be within the cutoff of JEE advanced in the respective categories.
• After the three weeks of JEE advanced result of JEE advanced declare and as soon as the result declared they announce the date and registration portal for architecture aptitude test which is organised by IITafter  for you need to register for architecture aptitude test.
• Once you complete the registration you need to appear for architecture aptitude test at the venue assigned to you and then you appear for the exam and then you need to qualify the architecture aptitude test
• Once you qualified architecture aptitude test you will be eligible to get admission into architecture programs at IIT based on your rank. Of JEE advanced

If you are interested for B.Arch from IITs then you will have to first qualify Jee main paper 1 then JEE advanced and then you will have to go for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). As per the eligibility criteria, The candidates will have to satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalentexamination with an aggregate of at least 75% marks. For SC/ ST and PwD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10% as they need the aggregate of minimum 65% marks.

Following some useful tips will make JEE Main exam an easy ride for candidates. Some of the valuable tips for JEE Main prpearation includes management of time, focusing on important topics and chapters depending on the weightage. In addition, students should practice sample paper and take mock tests.

For admission to architecture programme at IIT Roorkee or Kharagpur, you will have to first qualify in both the papers of JEE Advanced. Following it, you will become eligible to appear in JEE Advanced AAT 2019, the entrance exam for admission to B.Arch programme at IIT Roorkee and Kharagpur.

The cutoff varies year to year, It depends on various factor like total students appeared in the exam, difficulty level of the exam etc. As per the previous year cutoff opening rank of IIT Roorkee was 129 & closing rank was 202 around for CSE branch as OBC Category.
