Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee
Hi Tridip,
The highest package till date is Rs.1.4 Crore offered to 3 students by Microsoft and average package till date is Rs.11 LPA.
Thank you and best of luck.
Hi Sukrit. May be my opinion will sound different to you, but to be completely honest with you, you should choose IIT Roorkee Metallurgy as Electrical or Mechanical are very common branches now a days with high competition, whereas metallurgy is less popular and you can easily get a job.
Its your choice finally, all the best !!
Hi Piyush, both are good. If your interest in in computer science then you should pursue CSE in DTU and if you are interested in chemistry then Chemical Engineering from IIT-R sounds more promising.
IIT has its own charm and reputation, but DTU is equally good as CSE is one of the top branch in engineering.
You should decide on your own.
you have to carry all your doccumentss such asa 10th marksheet your 10+2 marksheet your passing certificate of 12th your chorecter certificate as ell as your id card , and you photographs. all the best.
hello Sukrit,
According to me, every branch is unique in itself if you are interested in extracting, refining or recycling metals then you should go for metallurgy or if you are interested in the software world, coding then you should go for computer science or if working with engine or modelling is your passion then go for mechanical engineering.
You have to decide what is your interest and what thing you can do perfectly. This decision is very important in your life and you need to take it wisely don't run behind the placement just do what you like. One of my senior in my college left Computer Science in the second year and took mechatronics and started his studies all over again because he realized it afterward that he has more interest in robotics and machine learning so I just advise you to find your interest and then take your decision if you perform well in any field you will get placement so be confident with your decision
All the best
dear student
Mechanical Engineering at IIT Roorkee is a better option. It is the oldest Engineering college in India and Mechanical is a fairly vast field, often called the Evergreen branch of Engineering.
It's good enough, faculties are fine, labs do have equipments, infrastructure is ok.
Workshops & courses are conducted at times.
Placements are well too.
IITR was at AIR 6 in MHRD ranking of engineering institutions in India last year
hope this helps
All the best!!!
Hi Anmol! For your information, IIT Roorkee does not accept MAT scores for its MBA admission. It accepts only CAT scores. Hence, if you want to take admission in IIT Roorkee, it would not be possible through MAT scores. For other B-school admission chances, use the MAT Pathfinder tool as shared in the previous answer.
