IIM Kashipur. Among the IITs offering a MBA programme, Roorkee is generally not that preferred. When it comes to MBA, most IIMs will always score over an IIT unless its SJMSOM, VGSOM or DMS. Hence, I would say Kashipur is the way to go.

There are less chances of getting IIT Delhi or KGP in subsequent rounds.So i suggest you to freeze a seat in IIT Roorkee. You apply for Delhi and KGP in case you get a seat you can withdraw as well.

• The Institute admits students to B.Tech. courses through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
• In case of B.Arch., the selection is done through National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) scores.
• Candidates are shortlisted for M.Sc through JAM entrance examination conducted at various centres across India
• Admission to PG courses is done on the basis of valid Normalized GATE scores only.
• In case of sponsored candidates, the selection is done based on Interview/Written Test & relevant experience.

Average package official reports havent been pubkished  for individual streams at IIT roorkee 

However, an average of 30 cimpanies visit in core profiles related to mining like Riotinto, Cairn, Hindustan Copper, HPCL, Vedanta, JSW, Hindalco offering salary range of 5-12LPa.

Overall more than 80% students get placed in core companies.

You have to give the engineering exam for the entire nation wide accepted, JEE ADVANCED

It will help if you score well, also there is a qualifying percentage of only 6-10%

Both the branches are equally good. It depends on you which branch you have interest in. Both the IITs are great. As far as placement is concerned, the highest package at IIT Roorkee till date is Rs.1.4 Crore and average package is Rs.11 LPA. The highest package at IIT Bombay till date is Rs.1.4 Crore and average package is Rs.13 LPA.
