Please mention your GATE Scores , as admissions are made to IIT Roorkee on the basis of scores not ranks . By the way , the cutoff score for last year for biotechnology , was 46.88 (considering you to be general).

The highest package till date is Rs.1.4 Crore offered to 3 students by Microsoft and average package till date is Rs.11 LPA.

Hi Sukrit. May be my opinion will sound different to you, but to be completely honest with you, you should choose IIT Roorkee Metallurgy as Electrical or Mechanical are very common branches now a days with high competition, whereas metallurgy is less popular and you can easily get a job.

Hi Piyush, both are good. If your interest in in computer science then you should pursue CSE in DTU and if you are interested in chemistry then Chemical Engineering from IIT-R sounds more promising.
IIT has its own charm and reputation, but DTU is equally good as CSE is one of the top branch in engineering.
You should decide on your own.
