Maximum Marks vary every year like below:
2017- 366
2016- 372
2015 - 504
2014 - 360
So it is difficult to predict marks as exam pattern and marks change every year.

I got 750 gate score mechanical ...and i got nanotechnology ...iit roorkee..
There are only two in india ...iit roorkee and iisc banglore ...if you get good score then try for iisc banglore the facilities are more advanced than iit roorkee ....
My next target would be iisc banglore for phd ...
The cutt off shown is wrong ...
So work hard score above 750 ...
As nanotechnology is new but emerging field so after 10 years it will at its highest peak ...leaving other fields behind...

To get in admission in IIT Roorkee in M.Sc. Mathematics your score must be above 55 so that your rank must lie above AIR 150 in open category. In this way you can secure a seat in IIT Roorkee. Atleast score 50+ marks for IITs.

After completing your course you can make your career in research and academics.

there is a 50-50 probability of your son to get selested as per the previous record of the cutoff. the cut off basically fluctuates year by year but there is more probablity of getting selescted as last year the cut off for mechanical in IIT Roorkee was:- Gen -72.47, OBC - 65.27, SC - 48.72, ST - 48.82, PD - 54.14cut off for 2016 was :- Gen - 65.13 , OBC -58.86, SC - 43.83, ST - 43.83 cut off for 2015 was :- Gen - 70.88, OBC - 63.84, SC -47.63, ST - 47.78
