What should I choose CSE at IIT Varanasi, Electrical at IIT Bombay ,and Engineering physics at IIT Roorkee

myidshivanisrivastava 7th Nov, 2020

Hello Ravi,

The comparison between the given colleges is as follows:

CSE at IIT BHU - Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi is a constituent unit of Banaras Hindu University. It is also known as the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi or IIT (BHU) Varanasi. This is a public university, which offers courses in technology, science and humanities. The college was founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College. In1968, it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. In 2012, the institute beccame Indian Institute of Technology. Its NIRF Ranking is 11. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University Varanasi has lowest fees. The placement median salary is 13.60 LPA.

EE at IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) was established in 1958 under the Government of India. The institute started functioning with 14 academic departments, 10 centres, two schools and three interdisciplinary programmes. IIT Bombay is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Engg. Physics at IIT Roorkee- Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee was established in the year 1956, as the country’s 7th IIT. The institute is also known as IIT Roorkee. In the year 2001, the Government of India declared IIT Roorkee as the “Institution of National Importance”. The Institution plays a vital role in providing the know-how to the country and in pursuit of research and technical manpower. The Institute has a facility for doctoral work in all Departments and Research Centres and apart from UG and PG courses, it also offers Ph.D programmes to the students. Its NIRF Ranking is 12.The placement median salary is 14.51 LPA.

In terms of facilities, all the colleges provide equivalent facilities of hostels, canteen, library, sports and medical services. The banking and ATM facilities are provided at the campuses which facilitate the students to carry out important banking interactions like cash withdrawal or cheque deposits. Sports activities are promoted on the campus.

All the three IITs are equally good, but considering branches, CSE would be best. So , it is completely up to your area of interest, which branch and college you want to take admission in, based on your interests.

what marks should I score in order to get a iit like iit Roorkee, iit delhi....in 2021?(OBC category student)

Sharon Rose Student Expert 6th Nov, 2020
Hello,

It is difficult to predict the marks because the total marks for JEE Advanced changes every year. If you belong to OBC-CL then you come under general category, in 2020 the cut off marks for general category was minimum 69 aggregate marks and 6 minimum marks. The total marks were 396 in 2020 considering this you need to score minimum 17.5% aggregate marks of total score to qualify but the chances are low to get seat in IIT if you just score cut off marks you need to score 45-50% total score to have decent chances of getting seat IIT of your choice.

If you come under OBC-NCL then you need to score 35-40% marks of total score. But this is based on this year data the total marks changes so the minimum marks that you have to score also changes. This is the estimated percentage of marks you may have to score.

SRINITYA 30th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

Sorry for answering your question late. The vast and hard syllabus doesnot depend on the college but it depends on the course or branch in which you are joining. Both ece and ee are a bit similar but ee deals mostly only with physics whereas ece deals with communication systems, control systems and microwaves. About which college you want to join, i suggest you to compare all the three colleges on various parameters and then choose a college of your choice.

Whose aerospace engineering is better IITK, IITR IITD or IIST?

rajanavikas 27th Oct, 2020

Hello Ravi Kumar,

I can understand your confusion since all are good institutes for pursuing Aerospace Engineering.

Yes, IITK has an airstrip and a hangar equipped with 4/5 gliders. You can go in anytime and see those gliders. There is one whose skin has been ripped off so that you can see the structural arrangements of the glider. You get to have joy rides as well.

I cannot compare the research facilities of IITR ,IITR ,IIST and IITK ,since I don’t have complete information about IITM. Besides, it would be unjust to compare the research facilities since both institutions have focus on different areas of research.

I hope it helps you.
