Do I have a chance to get an IISER of my choice during counselling ?what is asked during counselling?

SOUVIK 24th May, 2019

Hello Pallavi,

During the counselling process, the allotment is based on the availability of seats, your rank in the merit list, and your preference. Once you have got your name in the merit list released by IISER, you need to fill the IISER application form released by the conducting body. Then you need to fill your choices online (fill it very carefully, because this will determine your chances of getting your preferred choice). Then you need to report to alloted centre for document verification. Finally institute will allot you seat on the basis of availability of seats, your rank in the merit list, and your preference. Then you need to pay the minimal amount to lock your choices.

This is what required in counselling and nothing more than this will be asked to do.

For any other query, comment below. Have a great day!!

I have completed my 12th standard in 2018 with 86% from U.P.board. Am I eligible to take admission in IISER 2020 through kvpy Or scb channel

Jasleen Kaur Taneja 24th May, 2019

Hello,

As per KVPY Eligibility Criteria you must be enrolled in the 1st year of UG program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. during the academic year 2019–20. Since you have scored 86% in class 12th Boards, the percentage satisfies the 12th class criteria provided your aggregate score in Maths and Science is more than 60% in 2019. In the 1st year final examination of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. you must secure 60% marks before taking up the fellowship, if awarded. With a good rank, you can take admission in IISER through KVPY channel.

can we get direct admission for iiser Tirupati through jee mains only

kulvinder 23rd May, 2019

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
The answer to your question is negative.
The IISERs admit students only through three ways:-
1) KVPY
2) JEE Advanced
3) SCB Aptitude test

Except for these, there is no way to get admission in the IISER.
Hope it would help.
Thank You.
