Hello Jitendra,

Indian Maritime University (IMU) conduct IMU-CET (common entrance test) admission in various sultan's offered by IMU campus can is affiliated Institute.

Age as on the date of admission on 1st August 2019 shall be as follows:

  • Minimum is 17 years
  • Maximum age 25 years

It's ligibility criteria are as follows:

Below mentioned vision standards must be met by the applicant:

Deck Department:

  • Vision should be 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in the other eye

Engine and Electrical Department

Vision should be 6/12 in eacheye or 6/9 in better eye and 6/18 in the othereye

The vision should be 6/6 (normal) in each eye separately.

Here's eligibility u crielteria for imucet:

  • Age Limit
General category candidates should be minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years old as on August 1, 2019. Maximum five years age relaxation is provided to SC/ST category candidates.
  • Academic Qualifications
The candidates should have passed 12th standard qualifying examination with aggregate marks of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Atleast 50% marks should have been secured by the candidates in English
For SC/ST category candidates, there is a relaxation in marks. However, no relaxation will be provided in English.
  • Qualifying Examination
Candidates must have passed 10+2 by any recognized state or central board
Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi
Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University
General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level
Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services wing of the National Defence Academy

Can I appear in IMU CET on the behalf of my bachelor degree?

Yeah Swaraj definitely with having the bachelor's degree in any discipline with having the score of minimum of 50% marks from any recognised University as well you should also have the minimum of 50% marks in the English subject as well in 10th / 12th as well in your UG degree as per the eligibility criteria and if you are lying in that then you will be definitely able to appear in IMU CET.

IMU CET exam is conducted by Indian Maritime University for admission to courses offered by the campuses of the institute.
You will have to clear the entrance exam for admission to B.Tech Marine Engineering.

 

Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test is a national level entrance exam. The exam is conducted in online mode.
Eligibility Criteria to appear for the IMU CET 2019 is as follows-
- Candidates belonging to the General category should be of minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years of age as on August 1, 2019.
Relaxation in the age limit is given to candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories should be given maximum five years age relaxation.
- Candidates are required to have passed class 12th examination with 60 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and atleast 50 percent marks are required to be scored by the candidate in English.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories will be provided relaxation in the aggregate marks. However, no relaxation would be provided to the candidate in English.
Apart from the Education Qualification and Age Limit, there are certain other criteria also such as medical fitness, eyesight which candidates should fulfill to be eligible.

 

IMU C ET exam is conducted in Online mode. Duration of the exam is three hours and medium of the examination is English. Multiple Choice Questions are asked in the exam and there are total number of 200 questions. Also, there is no negative marking for wrong answers in the exam.
Questions in the exam are asked from the following sections-
English – 25 Questions
General Knowledge – 25 Questions
General Aptitude – 25 Questions
Chemistry – 25 Questions
Mathematics – 50 Questions
Physics – 50 Questions

can imu cet form be filled with late fee registration charges?

Hey Nidhi.

The registration process for IMU CET will start in the  First week of April 2019. And the  Final date to fill and submit the application form of IMU CET 2019  will be in the Second week of May 2019. There is no provision for submission of late form or fees provided as of now. Hence it would be advisable to submit the form within the time period given. I had scored 54% in pcm grp in 10+2 if i get well performance in imucet,so will they offer good college of merchant navy for dns to me.

Hey Mitesh.

To be eligible to take admission in IMU CET  you need atleast minimum aggregate marks of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th boards and  Atleast 50% marks in English. Hence you'd be able to take the test and get admission only if your score atleast more than 60% and not with 54%.

By which exam I can take admission in the imu collage of chenni?

All admissions to the various UG and PG programmes of the IMU and its Affiliated Institutes  will be through an all-India Online Common Entrance Tests (CETs). Candidates will be required to clear this CET in order to be eligible for admissions to the respective Programmes. 

Registration Fee is Rs. 1000 for General candidates and Rs. 700 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.
