To be very honest no institute provide any kind of sponsorship when you join them but after completion of course they provide placement which is similar to sponsorship before joining. So i hope this will help you.

Hello Yuvraj,
After clearing IMU CET you'll have to sit for the counselling. Also it depends upon you which department of Merchant Navy you want to join. By doing the courses affiliated to IMU you'll get job in shipping industry. Like if you do Marine Engineering you'll be absorbed as an Engineer on Ships and if you do B.Sc Nautical Science or DNS you'll be absorbed in Deck department of ship whose sole purpose is to Navigate the ship. And if you do Naval Architecture you'll be absorbed in the field of Designing and construction of ships.
So, basically each field has their pros and cons. Salary is also good in this sector but in the starting years you have to work really hard and keep your spirits high always.
Hope this will help . Feel free to ask any query.
2.25 lah per year for Male Candidates and 1.45lakh for Female candidates is per year fees for IMU in Marine Engineering.
