I completed my Bsc in life science (DU) and MSC in Dietetics and food service management (IGNOU). Am I eligible for CSIR NET in home science or life sciences or both?

Moumoyee Chakraborty 23rd Feb, 2022

Hey Young Mind!!

There are three main factors which determine the eligibility criteria of CSIR NET, the Age should not exceed 28 years, the Nationality must be Indian, and the Educational Qualification is that

  • Candidates from general (UR) / general-EWS and OBC must hold an M.Sc. or equivalent degree / Integrated BS-MS / BS-4 years / BE / B.Tech / B. Pharma / MBBS with at least 55% marks in order to be eligible for CSIR UGC NET.

  • Candidates who are currently enrolled in an M.Sc. course or have completed their graduation are also eligible for CSIR UGC NET 2021 under Result Awaited (RA) category given that they complete their degree with the required scores within two years.

So yes you are eligible for the Life sciences exam.

Lisa 16th Feb, 2022

there are a lot of technicalities we are not aware of. we can only hope for better days. the MCI selectively including some colleges and courses and not the others is out of our scope. thus we can choose the colleges that maximum match our choice of a dream college and apply there

Can we become a doctor or start a study from class 10 with atleat 60% ?

roshni 5th Jan, 2022

Hello,

Hope you are doing good!

To become a doctor, you need to study MBBS. After class 10, you should take up Science with Biology. It's your choice, whether you want to take Mathematics or not, but Physics, Chemistry and Biology are important. You should pass your 10+2 level with good grades.

Percentage must be  minimum of 60% in each subject- Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate Percentage in board would be minimum of 70%. The marks scored in matriculation are not counted in admission in MBBS course. Also the marks in 10+2 are not counted in admission MBBS course. You need to pursue MBBS course and after completion of MBBS course, you can become a Doctor.

MBBS is an undergraduate medical degree in the course to become a doctor. MBBS is one of the best professional degrees in science and medicine. MBBS Admission 2022 will commence after the NEET counselling 2022. In order to get admission to the MBBS course, candidates must appear for the NEET entrance exam. One of the best courses after MBBS include MD (Doctor of Medicine), Masters in Hospital Administration, MS in Clinical Pathology, Masters in Public Health, MTech in Biomedical Engineering and Biological Sciences and diploma courses in Sports Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychology, Occupational Health, etc.

All the best!
