Information Science
Hey,
Information Science and Engineering course at MSRIT, Bangalore is good to opt. The total fees for this course is around 3.47 lakhs here. Placements are totally good for this branch. Companies for placement are Accenture, Yahoo, Robert Bosh, Infosys, amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, Paytm, etc. The average salary package is around 4-5 LPA, whereas the highest salary record of this branch is very nice. On the other hand, the CSE Course at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering , will cost you around 2.38 lakhs. Placements in CSE are good here. Average package is 3 LPA, and highest is around 7 LPA.
No, doubt from these two, MSRIT is better.
Hope it helps.
hello,
If the cut off in second round went to only 16488 then in the third round the chances is low in gettig seat in NMAM Institute of Technology. Last year the cut off went to around 31,000. You should give more than 5 to 8 colleges in you preference list in order to increase chances of getting seat in comedk counseling. Below is the link of college predictor, you should visit because if in 2nd round you wont get then in 3rd round you should arrange the colleges accordingly.

Hello,
According to me CSE branch is better than information science branch as it is a bit more popular and well known. But the placements and the teaching of both the colleges is decent. The infrastructure and the facilities provided are also good.In the end you should choose the one you have interest in as the syllabus of CSE and Information Science is different.
Hi Bhoomika!
Information Science and Engineering is a Course which combines most of both Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology.
It's Syllabus will contain Data Structure with C, Algorithms, Unix and Shell Programming, C++, Microprocessors, Information System and Data Mining.
So, if you have a sound knowledge in programming and interest towards it, then you won't find it difficult! Also, find a college which offers good exposure to Information Science and Engineering for better knowledge and placements.
Hope this is helpful!
All the best!

COMEDK Fee structure for 2020, for Information Science and Engineering, is approx 2 lakh per semester inclusive of Tuition and Institute Fees. BMSCE is one of the best institutes under COMEDK, which offers ISE Stream. The institute has good infrastructure, faculty and placements .
Hello!
Information technology is more of a coding subject rather than theory. Whereas Computer science engineering deals with theory as well as coding in equal aspects. Placement opportunities will be more or less equal to Information technology as well as computer science engineering.
CSE have more scope. And during termination a CSE student is given a second thought whereas for IT students are not given much second thought.
Everything that matters is your skill.
Choose wisely, ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was of some help.
Thank You
Hello aspirant,
Congratulations for getting good rank in KCET. According to the recent trends both the computer science and information technology are good branches but if you have to give preference then I would like to suggest you to go first with CSE.
According to last some years cut offs of KCET as your rank is not very good so you have less chances of getting very decent institution but yes you will get some good college with this rank. I am providing the cut offs link below which will help you definitely.

Hello Aspirant,
Getting admission into a kcet college and that too your preferred branch will mostly depend on your kcet percentile rank, category and other factors like seat availability for that branch, no. of applicants appeared, and previous years cutoff trends.
You can use our kcet college predictor link given below to view the preferred college available for you according to the rank you have given,
Seeing and using it, you can see that you are getting ETC or EC branch in many colleges but you are not getting CS in all colleges except in some.
You may use it to see the list if all colleges and the branches that you are getting.
Hope that helps. Good luck
