Information Science
Hello Himanshu Singh , Both the colleges are best in infrastructure, placement and all. But the NIE mysore is more better than SIT Thumkur but the problem is that the fees at NIT is approx 9 lakh and for SIT is 2 lakh approx.
So final decision is depend on you.
Hope it will be helpful for you :)
Hello Himanshu Singh,
According to the reviews of NIE Mysore, the Information Science branch seems to be placed lower than other branches. It is theoretical till 5th semester and you get practical knowledge after the 5th semester. Also, the lectures are pretty good but you need to have full attention. The campus placement of this college is considered to be ranked as 2nd position according to last year's data. The labs seems to be excellent.
Finally, it is up to you who wants to do the course you want and the place you wish to. It is a good college.
Good luck!
Hello Dear,
It is very difficult to choose one of them because both are valuable in modern time.According to P.M. of INDIA, he is making a digital INDIA Through the digital INDIA mission in every govt.offices use computers for filling the data and entry and many more things .So in the offices computer operator is required you are done b.tech from CSE you are eligible for the computer operator job. And you are done your b.tech from IT you are made the software so according to my opinion both are important .You see in your college in which you take to admission which branch has given maximum placements and you choose in which branch you are interested you take the branch your according .
Thank you
All the best !
Hi Aspirant,
The significant difference between CSE and ISE is that only software is taught in ISE, whereas both software as hardware is taught in CSE.
In terms of Opportunity, almost all companies allow both CSE and ISE students to participate in placements with some exceptions.
But, CSE has a little better scope because it's curriculum is wider than ISE. The only advantage of ISE over CSE is that cutoff for admission is lower for ISE, irrespective of colleges.
I hope this will help you to understand.

It's a very good question. Information Technology and computer science are very similar, they both revolve around computers but the major difference is what they do with computers. Computer science is about making software that can be used to do specific functions. Information technology is about maintaining the flow of information in the computers which include server management, Networking, etc.
I hope this answer helps you to choose a good stream for your career.
Feel free to ask for queries. GOOD LUCK!!
