If we go as per the resources available then IT department always had more placement percentage than ELECTRONIC AND TELECOMMUNICATION. Information technology: where you learn about processors, compilers develop algorithms etc. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to your coding skills.

But both branches has almost similar subjects.
