For NITs, IIITs and GFTIs you need minimum 75%aggregate marks in 12th.

Now a days CSE is better than IT.
As you know IT branch is part of CSE branch.
In CSE branch you have to study both software as well as hardware but in IT branch you have to study only software like C , C++ , Android developing
