Totally depends upon your interest. If you follow recent trends and market then nothing is better than CSE, if you have interest in these fields. But if you have choice between CSE or IT then choose CSE.

The course and curriculum of CSE and IT departments donot vary much in WBUT and the placement scenario are also same. So, I don't think you will regret opting IT instead of CSE under
