Which is better college for mbbs IMS BHU, AIIMS BHOPAL, or JIPMER for a North Indian?

vathyaramganesh 30th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

if you are selected in all those colleges then you have to choose it wisely.

Choose JIPMER if you are from south india.

Your native place plays a major role. All of these are really good colleges with ranking in order- JIPMER > BHU > AIIMS BHOPAL

Thank you.

my ews rank is 294 can i get Patna aiims or ims bhu??

Abhishek Roy 27th Oct, 2020

I believe at an EWS Rank of 294, you have fair chances in securing either if the two institutes.

However, IMS BHU is a much older institute with excellent infrastructure, faculty and hospital facilities, campus culture and provides quality medical education. Even if you have to let go of the AIIMS Brand, IMS BHU will be worth the decision.

Do keep a check on the Government Medical Counselling Dates and Procedure. For more information and College prediction do follow the link below

Hi , Im Kavana from karnataka. I have a NEET score of 439 and a AIR,142968. is there amy chance of getting an BAMS govt seat?

Aarti singh 27th Oct, 2020
Hello kavana
I'm really sorry to say this, but this time you have a very less chance of getting government college, but as you know, their are very limited seats in karnatka for bams.. For government College ,Candidate need minimum required marks for round is about 500 in NEET UG 2020..
And you got 439,so its very difficult to say anything..
Hope this information is helpful for you
And for update about college you can check this neet predictor link

Aditya kumar singh 26th Oct, 2020
Hi,
Congratulations for your wonderful score and there are chances that you might get a seat in ims bhu in general category in bams . But this year  the cutoffs tend to remain higher so it is difficult to predict but do apply for the counselling and hope for the best as their is only 50 seats for bams in ims bhu but your score is well enough to get a seat .

I had got 660 marks in neet 2020 whether I got KGMU OR IMS BHU from AIQ OBC category?

Abhishek Khurana 8th Oct, 2020

Hello Student

Firstly i would like to appreciate you for your efforts for scoring so much high in one of the most difficult exams of the country .

Now coming to the question, according to this score the statistics are going to be:-

Your Overall Percentile is: 99.78 - 100

Your Predicted Rank is: 0 - 1320

Overall the main part is that you are going to score very high if we consider these collages IMS-BHU and KGMU .IMS -BHU is filled only via the All India Quota as it is a Central University but KGMU is a state university so it is filled by both the quotas .

According to the last year statistics IMS BHU had a cutoff of approx 700 AIR and KGMU had a cutoff of 500 AIR by the AIQ and 1800 AIR by the state quota, this is for the Gen category .You can expect approx 10 marks difference for OBC.

But this year due to AIIMS and JIPMER also included in the NEET so there is a complete chance that you will easily get KGMU and also you can get IMS BHU also you can also go for other options like the NEW delhi ones also.

You can also use our collage predictor to understand your standing in the competetion:-

I wish you very best for a very Bright Career Ahead. I am always available for any further queries.

What would be a safe score for getting into IMS BHU in NEET 2021 ?

Kanith Sawkar 7th Oct, 2020

Hey aspirant,

Since IMS BHU is a public central university, counselling is done by MCC/DGHS (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India), getting a seat here can be very competitive since you need to get in through All India quota. As per NEET 2019, if you belong to General category, you would need to score 651-660 and above for a seat there. Earlier in 2017 & 2018, students would have to score 620 and above. For SC/ST/students, that would be lesser at around 490-500 and above, for OBC students it was 600 and above.

So based on that, a safe score would be anything above 620-630 for an MBBS seat at BHU. To know more, check out: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-bhu
