I belong to SC category getting 550 marks can i get SMS JAIPUR OR IMS BHU oan any AIIMS

pdwords Student Expert 20th Sep, 2020

Hello,

With 550 your expected rank will be 24150 - 28300, as per previous year data for AIQ, the chances seem less for SMS Jaipur or IMS BHU, in case you have domicile of Rajasthan then may be there can be possibility of SMS Jaipur, cut-offs change every year and based on various factors like top NEET score, difficulty level of paper, number of candidates appearing etc.

641 Marks expected,U.P. domicile .general category. Will I get MBBS seat in IMS BHU?

Sunil Kumar singh 19th Sep, 2020

Hi dear,

You have scored 641 marks that means your expected rank will between 946-1714. You can also check here

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank/amp&ved=2ahUKEwju8rS1xPTrAhXJw4sBHQ67DkUQFjAAegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw15YVG7djmini7yhQj0uQyC&ampcf=1

However the rank may alter as it is predicated on the basis of last year performance.

For taking admission in IMS BHU your rank must be under 660 according to last year cutoff. So you are not in a safe side but you are also not out of contest. You still have a chance because cutoff rank and all India rank changes every year. You can predict your possible college here

Minimum cut off for a OBC candidate in neet ug 2020, ALL INDIA QUOTA of:~ 1.MAMC 2.VMMC 3.KGMU 4.IMS BHU 5.UCMS As NEET and AIIMS combined is there a chance of less Cut off as compared to previous year?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 24th Jun, 2020

In 2019, under All India Quota, the cut off ranks and marks for the Colleges that you requested for under OBC Category have been as follows:

MAMC: 148

VMMC:357

UCMS:374

KGMU: 557-613 (Score)

IP BHU:1097

Except for KGMU, the rest of them are the ranks. So to roughly translate them for a seat in any of these Colleges, you need more than 650 even with OBC reservation. This is because cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Merging of AIIMS and JIPMER with NEET doesn't lower the cut offs. If both these colleges bring a total of 1700 seats, there are atleast 2 lakhs more students who appear for NEET every year.

Is it a good option to take up MD Pharmacology in BHU for postgraduation ? Since you dont really need clinical exposure for this field. Or will KGMU be a better option for Pharmacology ?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 5th Jun, 2020
Hello,

Yes, you can choose IIT BHU for pursuing Pharmacology and one important thing is that IIT BHU is rated quite high for the course so you can definitely opt to study in BHU.
