Admission is done on the basis of an Aptitude test.
Minimum Eligibility
The candidate should have passed HSC examination with any stream from a recognized Board of Education.

So you can't pursue interior design course, if you have discontinued your 12th. Mind you on the fact; if you want to pursue the B.SC Interior Design / B.Des Interior Design course, you need to have completed your 10th and 12th from a valid and recognized board plus you must have secured at least 50% in class 12th. Until and unless you complete your 12th, you can't even pursue the course.

Interior Design is a professional course, hence any candidate who is interested in pursuing this course is required to have passed their 12th standard with minimum marks. However you can do online courses to keep your interest up as they usually do not require you to have cleared any standard.

Streams such as Designing and Architecture demands a good Visualization, Precise Interpretation of the Structure, and a good Drawing Hand to finalize the Actual Layout of the design.
If you donot have a naturally good Drawing Hand, and you are interested in Designing Sectors, then you must work hard on your Drawing and can also join a good Drawing class to better your skills. You should also try out Mental Reasoning, Quantitative Analysis, and Basic Mathematics to get into a good college.

Interior design is a good course to pursue. Generally, each college/university has its own norms for admission into the interior design course. The eligibility criteria for UG is to have 55% marks in class 12 from any stream. A prior knowledge in Mathematics is also considered as good but is not compulsory.
