eeshamomin 14th Nov, 2020

Hello

There are certain things that make them similar which are:

  • Both are qualified to solve problems related to empty space design.
  • Both architecture and interior design are considered as art and a science.
  • There are many technical and artistic terms that they must be familiar with.
  • Both architects and interior designers should have a number of skills.
  • Both should stay in touch with the latest news and techniques in their field.
  • They are creative people.
  • They constantly learn about new techniques introduced to their fields.

In general, the job or the architect is to design a house internally and externally, including the electricity, plumbing, and focusing on the exterior design and the interior decoration elements and determine tiles, floors and lighting.

While the job of the Interior designer is working on the interior design of the house (all the rooms) including the lighting, tile and floors selection, and to focus on the internal materials, finishes, hardware furniture, textiles, wall paint.

is product design a part of interior design.

S. Saha Student Expert 12th Nov, 2020
Product designing itself is a 4 years long course offered by various design Institutes in India like Bachelor of Design in Interior designing. However, Interior Designing also involves a little bit of product designing or Product Semantics in the Final year of the course. Product Designing is basically widely invloved in Industrial designing. Product designing is nothing but study of Clay and Ceramic Ware Making, Handicraft sculptures, Printmaking techniques etc. A little bit if these is included in B.Des Interior designing also. If you wish to do B.Des in Product Designing, then State Institute of Fashion design, MS Ramaiah University of applied sciences etc are some top colleges.

can i study architectural studies and interior design at a same time.

Prachi Pant 11th Nov, 2020

Hey

If you choose to study the course which is degree type then you can't pursue two courses at the same time on the regular basis. Many students go for pursuing 2 different types of courses by taking one of the course as a vocational one or as a distance learning courses.

Just for the clarity of the course, one should be taking the other course as an alternative so that you can focus more on the core course.

Thanks

Rama Devi 10th Nov, 2020

Hello,

If you are imaginative  person and have the potential to create something out of nothing, then you can go for interior design where else  if you are a kind of person who enjoys reading books  and can research facts to build a house, then go for architecture. In the future, they would both have a fair amount of reach. After the completion of B des interior designing, you can work in the fields of work, such as hospitals, architecture companies, jewellery houses, restaurants , schools and shopping malls,In building companies, theatres, hotel industry, exhibition organising firms and town planning offices, applicants who have completed B.Arch in interior design will look for job opportunities. In previously listed companies, they will work as an architect, visual merchandiser or interior designer.
