Hello student ,
Yes , you can do IAS after interior designing but note that if you have done diploma in interior designing then it is considered equivalent to intermediate only. Diploma is not considered equivalent to degree and for the examinations of UPSC , you are required to possess any bachelor degree irrespective of nature & mode of the degree. You must have obtained the bachelor degree from an UGC approved university. If you seriously planning to go for Civil Service examination, then first of all, you have to go for completion of graduation degree in any discipline.

Hi,
The path of the profession to choose totally depends on your interest and skillset. Evaluate yourself and identify the skills you have. Here is a slight comparison between the two so that you can choose your area.
Interior designing :
Architecture:
So, the best suggestion is that choose the career path after realising which profession matches your skill and interest. Also, an architect studies interior designing in his course but an interior designing student doesn't study architecture basics. Along with this, if you don't have an aptitude for maths and physics, architecture will be a bad choice.
Choose wisely
All the best!
