GRE ,IELTS ,TOEFL which exam is more useful for an engineering student ......to get a job abroad..?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 15th May, 2019
GRE is more useful and easy to crack even. There are many colleges which consider GRE for selection so it increases the chance of getting selected. To crack the exam there will be lots of hard work to be done. Then the paper will be easy. On the comparison basis GRE is good and preferred mostly by most of the graduates.
Hope it helped!

I have got a drop in my final semester of BE production engineering.Am i eligible to get admission in German University ?

Mille Sharma 15th Jun, 2019

Hey Ashu!

You are surely eligible for admission in German universities, however, different universities have different criterias for determining your eligibility; depending on the college you are planning to apply to. Hence, it is advised to visit the college's (in which you are planning to apply to) website and check the same.

Your GRE and IELTS score shouldn't be a problem but the college authorities might ask for the reason behind that drop or you can include the reason in your application as well, as an additional note, to give them an insight into your situation and so that it isn't reflected badly on you and your application, if you have a genuine reason behind that.

For more information regarding German universities, it's requirements for studying there and the eligibility criteria of different colleges, you are advised to visit the following link: https://www.daad.de/en/

Hope this helps. All the best!

Does philippines requires TOEFL or IELTS for studying

Krushnalee Surve 7th May, 2019
Hi Urjaswati,

To pursue a Masters degree in the Philippines, you will have to give GRE and a test for language proficiency. As you know, the two, universally accepted tests for language proficiency in English are IELTS and TOEFL. In Philippines, most universities accept IELTS scores rather than TOEFL scores. So, if you wish to pursue higher education there, you should give IELTS instead of TOEFL.

Does philippines requires TOEFL or IELTS for studying

sahanahegde44 13th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Hope your doing good!

International students who wish to study in the Philippines for a course above the level of high school will need to secure a student visa from the Philippine consulate in their home country after getting admitted to their chosen university.

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is another English language proficiency exam jointly owned by the British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment.

Most students end up taking up their undergraduate degrees in the PH and these don't require TOEFL exam scores for admissions. Most universities have their own entrance exams that test for English language proficiency.

Hope this helps, for more such queries ping us below!

Thankyou.

Good Luck for everything ahead :)

However, a good number of students who plan to take up their undergraduate or graduate degrees in the US do take the TOEFL. Students who end up in the UK or other former UK colonies normally take the IELTS.

Sir i have done my 10 and 11 in CBSE pattern... I want to change my board to state board ..in future it will be ok or not

R.R.KARTHIKA 23rd May, 2019
Hi,
Yes . You are eligible to change board.  Bit what i suggest is,  it is better to continue in your CBSE board.  As it will help you when you are preparing for JEE or NEET or some other entrance exams. As mostly all entrance exams for  top colleges have 11 and 12 std syllabus.  Cbse is comparatively tough to state board but it will help you,  to prepare for entrance exams

Can you apply for a University without having an IELTS score i.e. in advance, before having IELTS score?

Preyas_Verma Student Expert 4th Jun, 2019

Hello Arnav,

Yes, you can apply to universities abroad in advance without having an IELTS score. However, they only process your application and do not offer admission until you pass your IELTS. You can apply to many universities across US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in which application can be submitted before.

Hope that helps and feel free to ask if you have any more queries. Best of luck!
